"Stop Shawn, focus." I shoved him before he got too close to me with the hot pan. We were making steak and potatoes. I was in charge of potatoes, because I look like one, obviously. Shawn had to marinade and cook the steak. We made extra because we had guests. 

"Hmm, wow, Luna this is really good." Sage said with a smile as she took another bite of the steak. 

"I can't take all the credit, this guy over here is quite the chef too." I chuckled nudging Shawn, which caused him to blush. Sage nodded at Shawn. We all ate dinner quietly, not really much conversation happening. Nate was still being awkward with me. I could feel the heavy tension in the room. I could feel his eyes on me at times, but I tried as hard as I could to avoid eye contact. He shared a couple glances but that's it. 

"Uh, hey, so tell us about yourselves." I said to Sage and Jade, shifting in my seat uncomfortably. "Well, my full name is Sage Rose Walters. I was born in Chicago, I have two brothers, one that's 15 and one that's 22." We nodded, smiling at her. She seems pretty cool. Nothing like the other girls that Colin brings home. 

"My full name is Jade Teresa Gail. I was born in New York City, I have an older sister that's 21." Jade seemed shy to me. She is also different, and I hope we become friends. "Hey, Shawn, you should introduce yourself." 

"Well, I'm Shawn Peter Raul Mendes. I'm pretty hot, as you can tell." The girls started giggling. I scoffed and started laughing at him. He's such a joke. "I was born in Toronto, Canada. I have a little sister, Aaliyah, who's 12. My birthday is August 8, which is coming up real soon. And I sing." He smiled that award winning smile. Then there was that awkward silence at the table again. I finished eating and got up from the table. Shawn followed behind me. I put my dishes in the sink and headed upstairs with Shawn.

"That was the most awkward dinner I've had." Shawn chuckled. I nodded in agreement. "What's with Nathan? I can see him staring at you. When you smile, he smiles. He's hella creepy if you ask me." 

"I don't know. I guess its fine. I don't need him. I have you Muffin." I laughed patting his hair. I was so happy my best friend was here with me for another 3 weeks. I loved his guy. 

"I'm pretty sure Jade is into me though." Shawn wiggled his eyebrows, which sent me laughing very loudly. There's never a dull moment with this boy, ever. "Oh please, she's with Nate, Shawn." 

"She's hot though." He wasn't wrong, she was very gorgeous. She had brown hair with blonde ombre. Her eyes were very blue, and her nose piercing worked well with her. Sage on the other hand, was a dirty blonde, but she had bright blue eyes as well. 

"Oh Shawn." I chuckled shaking my head at his stupidity.
