I knock on the door and Mum opens it, looking at me confused. 'Hey sweetie what's up?' She asked. I simply hug her and she places her chin on the top of my head. 'Come in. I think we both need a nice cup of tea' She says. 'Then he bought me a bear, a box of chocolates, a bar of soap and an apology letter. I have no idea what I should do' I sigh, hours later after we've both passed fourth cups of tea. 'Well, it sounds as if this Alessandro really cares about you. I mean your Father never gave me a bar of soap and an apology letter. I think you should give him another chance. You never know' She says and I sigh again, nodding. As usual she's right. I get up and Mum wraps me up in a chocolate-scented hug. I smile into her shoulder. Just what I needed. I get my phone and the letter, ready to ask Alessandro if he really meant it. I leave the hotel and walk down towards the beach, looking out at the sea, breathing in the smell of salt and fried food. Once I get to the sand I take off my shoes and pad towards the lifeguard chair. What I see makes me want to throw up. Alessandro is there. He's with a different girl. They're making out, his arm round her shoulder, her hands in his silky hair. Tears spring to my eyes but I push them away. I clear my throat and they spring apart. Alessandro's eyes widen. 'Carmela, please I can explain' He starts but I stop him. I take a deep breath in. 'I hate you. To think I came here to forgive you and forget. Who knew you can stoop so low. Move on already did ya?. You seriously disgust me. You are just like the other guys in my school. Cocky, Arrogant, Vain buttholes that think they're the brightest stars in the sky. Well you just proved you're dumber than a bag of rocks. Take this and never ever ever ever contact me again' I yell at him, scrunching up his letter and chucking it at his head before running all the way back to the hotel. I bang on the door. Mum opens it and I crush her up in a hug, fat salty tears running down my cheeks. 'Shh. It's okay baby. It's alright. It'll be okay' She whispers. Dear God I hope she's right.
