"The ring-bearer is setting out on a quest to Mount Doom. And you who travel with him, no oath nor bond is laid to go further than you will."
I looked at Aragorn, who was stared at by Arwen. Taking a deep breath, I looked down. Caleniel lightly placed her hand on my shoulder.
"Farewell. Hold to your purpose. May the blessings of Elves and Men and all Freefolk go with you."
Gandalf bowed his head and looked at Frodo. "The Fellowship awaits the Ring-bearer."
Caleniel and I looked at Frodo. After a moment, he slowly turned to us, and he began walking toward the road where I journey would begin. The fellowship followed as Frodo's and Gandalf's pace slowed for a moment.
"Left," Gandalf said.
I raised a brow and looked at Caleniel. She simply smiled and shook her head. She leaned her head closer to me. She whispered, "I hope you don't mind not having seconds."
I let out a small laugh. "I hope you don't mind not having fourths."
She grinned and leaned away.
I looked at Aragorn, who smiled back at me. I looked away and pursed my lips, walking slightly faster. A large portion of the walk after that was silent. We walked up a mountain and continued walking through unsteady paths. This journey was going to be a long one, maybe longer than the one to Erebor.
I pursed my lips, trying not to think of Thorin, so I turned to Gandalf. "Gandalf." I cleared my throat.
"Lady Bre."
"I know this journey will be long. May know what paths we are taking while on it."
He raised a brow. "You should know, shouldn't you?"
I grinned. "I just want to confirm."
Gandalf nodded. "Very well. We must hold to this course, west of the Misty Mountains, for forty days. If our luck holds, the Gap of Rohan will still be open to us. From there, our road turns east, to Mordor."
I let out a small laugh. "It's sounds so simple when you put it that way."
Gandalf sighed. "You know it is not."
I nodded that I do.
We reached the top of the mountain we were on.
"I'm hungry." Pippin chimed. "Can we rest a bit?"
Gandalf took a deep breath, stopped, and looked around. "I suppose we can. Only for a short while."
"Great!" Pippin began making a fire.
"It seems that he has a lack of self-discipline." Caleniel raised a brow at the young hobbit.
"Indeed," Aragorn nodded and looked at Boromir. "Perhaps you could discipline him."
Boromir huffed. "And why not you?"
Aragorn smiled and patted my shoulder. "My hands are full with training her."
Boromir raised a brow. "If only she was to be trained by me." Boromir walked toward Pippin and kicked him away from the fire.
"Hey!" Pippin glared up at Boromir.
"Your friends will cook you food. For the moment, you must prepare yourself for what lies ahead." Boromir let a sword fall beside Pippin. "For that, you must work on controlling your priorities."
The hobbit picked up the sword and tried to swing at Boromir. Boromir effortlessly blocked and kicked the hobbit down again. I laughed as he was kicked to the ground once more.
