3rd Installment to — Through Thick & Thin
Things couldn't have been more PHENOMENAL for Y/N and Lauren. The ring Y/N ordered for Lauren had arrived earlier than she expected, her unborn child was HEALTHIER than ever, her little creation Dreya had a new little boyfriend D'Angelo that she interrogated with milk and cookies, PLUS the 2023 Grammy Awards were TONIGHT - which was when she'd put her marriage proposal plan in action. But first things first, the little blue crib inside their son Jesus's room. It took a little more man power than she ORIGINALLY thought, but the look on Lauren's face when she sees the long awaited remodeled baby room would be worth it. It was the last thing the hazel eyed girl had to assemble to finish the room, and as she stood back and admired her work, she smiled.
“Lauren's gonna LOVE this."
An Hour Later
Y/N sprang up from her position on the couch and turned the TV off as a now eight month pregnant Lauren and her hyperactive little girl Dreya walked through the doors with enormous smiles on their faces.
“Momma!" Little Lauren gleamed as she ran up to her mother and embraced her in a much wanted hug.
“Hey you, how was the amusement park?"
“It was SO FUN! Only mommie couldn't get on any of the rides with me because of her big belly." Y/N looked up and shot Lauren a teasing smirk as her daughter unknowingly put her mother on blast.
“Aww, that's TOO bad. But I have a surprise for you BOTH. That's why I needed you two out of the house."
The green eyed girl arched her eyebrow in amusement as she shrugged off her jacket and walked towards her smiling girlfriend.
“What are you up to THIS TIME?" The hazel eyed girl chuckled and kissed her girlfriends lips.
“ME? Little ole ME? Why I'm not up to ANYTHING. Just come upstairs with me, I have something I wanna show you two."
The three of them made their way towards the closed guest room door and stopped at Y/N's request.
“YOU have to put this on." The hazel eyed girl pulled out a black blindfold and carefully tied the silk around her girlfriend's eyes.
“What about ME momma?"
“YOU my little angel have to wear this." She smiled, holding up a small Doc McScuffins sleep mask. After she was sure the two girls in her life couldn't see what was in front of them, she carefully led them inside the sky blue room and took their blindfolds off.
“Ta Da! A new room for Jesus and Dreya to play in."
Lauren and the mini version of her gasped at the sight in front of them. The walls were a pretty shade of light blur that matched the sky on a good day, and had both Jesus's and Dreya's names written in comic book fonts on the adjacent side of the room where Jesus's white and sky blue crib was.
There was a stack of blocks, teething toys, and other little trinkets for playing with next to the fully equipped baby changing station loaded with diapers, baby monitors, little baby clothes for boys, and all the other necessities Y/N and Lauren was sure he'd need.
