Day Seven

"So, are you and Lauren a thing yet? Is that why my best waitress called in to tell me she was going to be late?" Mario asked as he served me my usual breakfast at my usual time. He was serving breakfast because I'd accidentally gotten Lauren home too late with all the fun we were having, so I probably wouldn't be seeing the green eyed beauty until lunch time.

"No we aren't a thing Mario. Not yet at least. I just showed her what it was like to have fun when you open up your heart. Besides, after being pestered for a week straight, I'd call in late too. Surprised she didn't do it last week." I winced as Mario smacked my head with his notepad and cocked an eyebrow in his direction.

"Duh you lovestruck idiot, she likes you. She's been playing hard to get. Lauren didn't want to accept the fact that she really likes you. And please don't tell her I told you that."

The grin on my face was bigger than it had ever been. I knew she liked me, it was all but confirmed last night, but it felt great hearing it from another observer.

"What happened last night? Did you two have a good time at your opening?"

"It was the best opening of my life Mario! I'll start the story at the time I went to pick her up. So she texted me her address after we exchanged numbers around five and told me she was almost ready, but that I could come to her apartment if that was okay. Of COURSE I sped...

I knocked on the door and frowned when no one answered. At that exact moment, maybe it was fate or something, Lauren texted and told me that she was changing, but that she kept a spare key under her flower plant and I could let myself in. I made sure to place the key back in its rightful place and admired Lauren's apartment - well the downstairs since I didn't want to intrude. Her melodic voice sounded from upstairs and asked if I was there, and after answering, she asked me if I could help her zip her dress up. I didn't want to invade her privacy, but she didn't seem to mind when I walked into her room. It was designed and furnished beautifully, but the only thing that stood out was Lauren. She had on this gorgeous half zipped black dress with cutouts on the sides of her hips and two slits parting her thighs that made her look like the goddess of sex or something. She was so stunning she had me drooling.

“You gonna help me or not?" She smirked. She knew exactly what she was doing to me.

“U-uh yeah s-sure." My hands trembled as I zipped the zipper up, her bare porcelain skin being shielded by the fabric of the very lavish dress.

“You look stunning Lauren. That's a really nice dress too." The green eyed beauty shook her head and grabbed her clutch.

“Thank you. And this dress should look nice. It came from your store." I was paying so much attention to how wonderful Lauren looked I didn't notice that the dress she was wearing was indeed one of my most popular designs.

“Can't say that we don't have taste." We both laughed and she hooked her arm into mine and allowed me to escort her down to my car after turning all her lights out and locking her doors.

“I forgot to mention that you look beautiful as well." Lauren complimented me as we approached the matte black Mercedes Benz I drove. I blushed at her compliment and shrugged. I wore a simple pink dress with embroidered cutouts and nude heels. Nothing as special as Lauren.

“Nice car as well. Maybe I should've become a fashion designer too."

I laughed at her joke and opened the passenger side door for her. “I think you'd be really good at it too. Oh, these are for you. I don't know why I didn't bring them up with me." I grabbed the bouquet of roses from the seat and handed them to Lauren.
