How I became Savannah Solo Part 3

Saturday October 10th

The bus pulled up to the stadium at 4:30. We all unloaded and went home. I climbed into bed and fell back asleep. I woke up around 1 and checked my phone. I had texts from the gals saying they were home and I had one from Brad.

Brad 5:30am: Hey Baby, just letting you know I'm home. Text me when you wake up.
Me 1:30pm: hey I'm up and about to jump in the shower.
Brad: okay I'm going to bring us lunch and I have a present for you.
Me: okay well my dad is Baton Rouge and my mom is probably at the hospital so just let yourself in.
Brad: Okay see you soon.

I turned on my playlist and jumped in the shower. I washed my hair and then my body. I got out and went to my closet. I put on my jack Daniels tank and my Nike pros. I heard Brad's truck and then the door. He set stuff down in the kitchen and then called my name.

Brad: Hey Savannah can you come here for a sec?
Me: yeah give me a minute.

I put my towel in the hamper and put my hair in a bun. I walked out into the living room and saw Brad.

Brad: alright close your eyes and stay right there
Me: Okay?

I heard the door open and then close again. I could hear Brad walking towards me.

Brad: okay open.
Me: oh my god you didn't! Brad!

Brad had a 7 week old Great Dane puppy that was white with grey spots. He also had a small pink spot on his nose.

Brad: do you like him?
Me: I love him thank you so much!
Brad: What are you going to name him?
Me: I think he looks like a Duke.
Brad: I agree. Well let's go eat.

We went to the kitchen and ate. While we ate Brad told me about Duke.

Brad: Duke is a pure bred. We got him in New Orleans last night. He was born August 29th. He was almost potty trained but he still needs a little work. In 3 weeks he needs to be neutered. When he is 3 months he goes to obedience school for 2 weeks. While he is there he is going to be certified as a service animal for you
Me: that means he can go anywhere with me.
Brad: I know
Me: thank you thank you thank you!
Brad: You're welcome

For the next couple hours we played with Duke until my parents came home. I showed him to my parents and they liked him. Brad brought in the rest of Duke's things and then had to go home. Lydia made us dinner and then I watched a movie and went to bed.
