Hey readers! Thank you all so much for looking into this book. It truly means so much to me, and it's nice to see that all my work has paid off. I would say that this book is a big improvement from my first one, Called Back. If you are interested in looking into that book, it is a Harry Potter and Narnia crossover fanfiction. Anyhow, my main inspiration for this book came from Star Trek Beyond, as I saw it back in July in 3D. I was getting inspiration throughout the whole movie. Just as a fore warning, there is some language advisory, however it is very mild. The only words used are what Bones would say, so extremely mild. Enjoy your reading and please feel free to comment on or about anything.

Krystine's POV

I looked into the crowd, tears in my eyes. My dad walked towards me with my Acting Captain badge. He looked into my eyes, smiled, and pinned the badge to my yellow dress. He then stood up, holding his right hand out in front of me. I extended my right hand and he grabbed it firmly and shook it. He turned to the audience and rolled his shoulders back to straighten himself out and stand taller. "I, James T Kirk, Captain of the Starship USS Enterprise, am pleased to welcome my daughter, Krystine T Kirk, as Acting Captain of the Enterprise." He announced loudly as I saluted to the rest of Starfleet. Everyone stood up and applauded my accomplishment. The room exploded in cheers and hollering. I felt my dad place his hands on my shoulders, and I was desperately trying to hold back my tears of joy in which I failed. He directed me off the stage and into the loading bay area where the Enterprise was waiting. I looked over at the entrance way and noticed Spock standing there waiting.

"Congratulations, Acting Captain." He said as he approached me.

"Thank you Mr. Spock. Also, you can call me Krystine." I say laughing a bit.

"Come aboard, Krystine." He said standing back a little with one arm behind his back, the other in the direction of the door. I nodded and stepped through the door. I stood there amazed that I was actually on the Enterprise. For many years I'd been waiting for this day. The day I was able to join my dad in his missions in space.

"This way Krystine." My dad said snapping me out of my daydream. Him and Spock lead me to an elevator, and we stepped in.

The doors shut quickly and the elevator transported us upwards at a very high speed. It finally stopped, and the doors slid open, revealing the bridge. I stepped out and was greeted by the bridge crew, along with Scotty and Bones. I remembered meeting them all before I received my badge. Sulu motioned for me to come over, as I saw that there was an empty chair between him and Chekov. I walked over to the large control panel, and took the seat. I stared at it figuring out where everything was, and I was suddenly startled by Chekov. "Congratulations Krystine. It must be very exciting for you to be vorking vis your fazer." He said in his Russian accent.

"It's amazing and overwhelming at the same time to be honest." I replied.

Once the entire bridge crew was seated, and Scotty and Bones left the bridge, my dad looked over at me and asked, "Are you ready?"

"I was born ready."

"Punch it."

I looked at Sulu and gave him a nod, letting him know that I scanned and made sure everything was prepared for warp, and he placed his hand on a lever and pushed forward. The ship lunged forward and blue streaks of light blew past us. I sat back and observed out the huge window in front of me. It was truly a magnificent sight.

"Incoming call from Starfleet Headquarters Captain!" Uhura called from behind my dad. "Give me video." He replied. All of a sudden the huge window in front of me turned into a screen. "Captain Kirk, we have a major problem. A large group of tiny ships is headed your way. We tried to contact them however there was no response. I fear they are enemy ships." Said the man on the screen. "Thank you for the warning, Sir." My dad responded and the video shut off, revealing the window again.

I turned around to face my dad and he looked at me giving me a what face. "Dad, why are they after us?" I asked, a worried expression on my face. He stood up and walked over to the door. "Come with me." He said extending a hand towards me. I stood up and walked over to him, and he led me out the door into the hallway. I was lead to a different elevator, which was larger than the other one in the bridge. As we were going down, I looked at my dad. "Where are we going?"

"Somewhere." He replied.

"That's not very descriptive."

"I know."

And with that the elevator stopped, and he led me out into the quiet, empty hallway. We walked for about 30 seconds until we reached a square on the wall, next to a speaker with a microphone. It was used for when someone had to make an announcement when they weren't in the bridge. My dad opened the drawer and I looked inside. "What the heck is that?" I asked looking at the strange object in the drawer.
