Ashton led you outside and laid down in the middle of the street. You stood over him and looked around.
"Ashton, what are you doing?" You asked, very confused.
Ashton just smiled and said,
"Lie down with me. Your house is the last on this street so it's not like we're going to get run over."
You thought,
"Why not?" and lied down next to him.
You both gazed at the clear, beautiful night sky as Ashton shyly suggested,
"You know... I wouldn't be opposed to cuddling."
You looked over at him and couldn't help but smile. You curled next to him with your head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around you.
All of the sudden, you saw what looked like dozens of shooting stars race across the sky.
"Oh my gosh... That looks so cool!" You say.
"Yeah, I heard there was supposed to be a meteor shower tonight so I thought we could watch it together..!"
Once the meteor shower was over, both you and Ashton sat up and he asked,
"So what did you think?"
"I loved it! It was definitely worth coming out to see!"
Ashton giggled and said,
"Good! I'm glad you think so!!"
You both sat silently staring at each other and before you even knew what you were doing, you leaned in and kissed him.
Ashton did not move, nor did he kiss you back so you almost immediately pull out of the kiss, look at him with evident embarrassment in your eyes, and say,
"I gotta go! Bye!!" and quickly get up to flee into your house, leaving Ashton alone in the middle of the street.
