Catalina pov:

As I walked into the office I could tell something was very wrong. What could have happened? Both Gabriel and his father were angry about something. Was it something that I did? Did they not want me anymore?

When I looked over to Gabriel's mother I could tell she didn't know what happened either. When she saw me looking she gave me a small smile. No one was talking and these silence wasn't helping. I didn't want to speak first maybe I would make it worse.

But I didn't have to worry for too long

"Ok now someone better tell me what's going on. Because if it isn't a good reason then you and your father are in big trouble."

Gabriel and his father looked at each other trying to figure out who was going to talk. It wasn't going to be good and I knew it.

"alright now one if you better start talking before I hit the both of you."

" mother please sit down, what im going to tell the both of you is very important."

"alright son what happened?"

"a short while after you two left. Father received a phone call from Alpha Cruz."

"Wait what would my old alpha want?"

" Catalina he says that we must take you back."

"no Gabriel, please don't send me back. If I did anything wrong I can fix it."

"catalina love you didn't do anything wrong. I will not lose you. I will fight to keep you at my side. Do you understand?"

"yes but why would you risk your pack like that for me?"

" it's easy. You are my mate and I love you."

I couldn't believe what I just heard. Gabriel loves me, but how? We have only known each other for a short time. Did I love him, I wasn't sure. But I knew I would come to love him.

"catalina you don't have to say it back. I know we haven't known each other for to long. I just wanted you to know how I feel. I would do anything to keep you safe. So would this pack."

"thank you I never have had a person much less a pack that I would keep me safe."

"Gabriel is right honey we will keep you safe. Like I have said before my mate and I already think of you as a daughter."

"see my mother and father love you. Nouthing will happen. I will be with you all of the way ok."

"ok and thank you."

Is this what a real pack feels like? Is this what love feels like? Could I happy and safe here?

"catalina?"

"yes sir."

"there are some other things you must know. First is that your old alpha has giving us two weeks to take you back. He says that is don't then he will come and get you. He doesn't care if that means war."

"no he can't do that. Doesn't he know the amount of people that will die?"

" he does but he doesn't care."

" what can we do?"

"there isn't much we can do. We are not going to hand you over. But there is also something else I have to tell you."

"what is it sir"

" well first you can start calling my dad. The next thing is that word has it that your mother and sister have teamed up rouges. I don't know what they are up to or even if it's true. All I know is that from now on, you will have a guard if you are not with Gabriel. It doubts matter if you are here at the house it at school. Do you understand?"

"yes sir I mean dad."

"see you are a members of your family."

Maybe my life will be great. All I could do was hope.
