Haha I didn't even have to see their faces to know they would feel disrespect that we didn't welcome them. By why would we have to, they didn't mean anything to us. But we have to play nice, at least make it look like we are that's what me father told all of us. Right now everyone is unpacking, the she-wolfs are already getting ready for the ball. Why girls take forever to get ready I have no idea. But I have to talk to all of them before the ball, since no adults will be there I have to keep the young pack in control. But before any of them get to busy, i want to have a quick chat with all of them. So through the pack link

" Can I have all of the pack members going to the ball come to my room. I would like to have a quick word. Thanks"

I didn't have to wait long, i knew most of them wanted to get back to what they where doing. Most of the girls were giving me death glares. If looks could kill i would be dead. i better make this quick or their would be blood and it would be mine.

" So to make this quick cause i see some of us are already getting ready for the ball"

" no shit Sherlock, not all of us are guys. we lady's need time to get ready."

" that's enough Lilly, just because your my cousin doesnt means you can disrespect me. Back to the matter at hand, i want you all on your best behavior. guys no fighting with the golden fools, you got me. we are on neutral territory. Lady's don't go off on your own, we wouldn't want any of you to get hurt. yes i know you can take care of yourselves. But we are not on your lands and your wolfs cant handle that right now OK."

"We got it"

" Also i know this is a sore subject, but if your mate so happen to be from the Golden Valley Pack I will not stop you. Your mates is your other half and this pack will not break mates apart. With that you can leave, and return to what ever you were doing." The words weren't even out of my mouth when all of the girls were out of the door.

" Man you know how to clear a room huh"

" very funny, nick. But you know they will still make us late for the ball."

" That's so true, the guys and i are going to play some soccer, want to come?"

" Cant i have to meet with my dad, and the higher ranker's. Catch you later."

" OK see you later"

Lets get this over with, then i can get ready for the ball. These might be the night i find my mate, or just another night to make his life a bit harder. Either way tonight is going to be a good night.

Catalina's Pov:

The house was so quite, my father was still out doing his duties, my mother was taking my sister around town to her appointments getting her ready for the ball. Me on the other hand, i have no clue were to start. i had just gotten out of the shower and looking at the dress I'm going to wear to the ball. Its a very simple dress, it goes down to my knees, with a sweetheart neckline, with short sleeves. It was a pretty shade of purple, with some jewels right below the breast line like a belt. I have some black flats that will go with it.

I just don't what to do with my hair, and but at least I know im not going to wear makeup.

What im I going to do, I have little over an hour to get there, but I still have to walk. The ball is being held at a ballroom in town, it's going to be at least 25 minute walk. So I pull the dress on and I have to say it looks ok on me. Then I pull my hair into a nice bin with some pieces hang out to frame my face. With one more look in the mirror I call it good. I grab a black jacket, and head out the door.

Well at least I have some luck, it's a nice afternoon. It's not to warm, and not a cloud in the sky. There aren't many people out, I guess people are helping there children get ready core the ball. Why couldn't I have a family that loves me, what did I do to have a family that treats me like dirt who abuses me?

Im only half way there when, I hear some cars coming down the road. They must be coming from the pack house because no one but pack member use this road. But I don't pay to much attention, I know no one will stop and give me a ride. As they were about to pass me the first car comes to a stop.

" Catalina is that you? What are you doing walking, do you need a ride."

"Lilly hi, I always walk. Don't worry im fine."

" no way you get in this car right now, no girl should be walking by herself. If you don't I will make one of the guys drag you in."

" Lilly if she doesn't want a ride you can't forces her."

"shut up Christan, you were the one saying none of us girls can go off alone. So bud out, so Catalina are you getting or am I sending one of guys out."

" Fine you win I will get in, which car?"

" Well you can ride with me hop on in."

Even though I don't want to do it, I could see Lilly wasn't going to let me get out of it. So as I walk over to the car I could hear the other asking who was I and why was I going to ride with them.

" wow Catalina you look so pretty, and your not even wearing make up. I wouldn't be able to do that I would so ugly. Oh this is my cousin but worry about him he's not important."

"funny Lilly, he Catalina im Christan it's nice to meet you."

"hi"

It's all I could say, im not used to people being nice to me. Not when I told im nouthing like everyday. I didn't even notice that Lilly stopped talking and was looking at my legs. My dress had ridden up and you could still see a bruise my father had give me.

" Catalina what is that?"

You could see a look of pity on her face. But I knew better than telling her the truth. If I did I know my family will say im lying and there would be hell to pay.

"it's not what you think, I got it during training. My opponent kick to hard, she didn't mean to."

" Are you sure?"

"Yes why would I lie?"

" well lady we are here so let go party"

" yeah come on Catalina let's have some fun."

" ok"

As I got of the car I tried to blend into the crowed. I didn't want anyone to see that I arrived with the Slivermoon pack. As we near the ballroom, I notice a incredible scent. It's a mixture of mint and sea breeze. What does this mean, why am I drawn to it. "or great they are already here"

"like I told everyone play nice"

Mean while they weren't looking I walk into the ballroom. What I don't know at this moment was my life at the end of this night would never be the same. At this very moment the wheels of fate were starting to turn and at the end I didn't know if it would break or set me free.
