Unknown 2 pov:

4 hours before...............

"Son I know you are angry that the Slivermoon pack for not welcoming us. We can't let them know how angry we are. We have to be the bigger people here."

" I know dad but they had to do it. Now I have to act like nouthing happened at the ball."

" I know son that its hard but it's for the better good. I want you to talk to the younger members of the pack. Tell them how to behave at the ball"

"yes sir"

I have to admire my father, he has always put the well being of the pack before what he wants to do. I wish I could say the same. But with Christan it's not always the case. But mean while we are here at the Red River pack, we must.

I didn't realize that we reach the houses we will be staying at until my father opens his door.

Wow this pack knows how to make someone feel welcomed. There are five three story house. All are a good size, they will easily house all of us. Alright everyone, I want all of you to chose were you will be staying and unpack.

" oh before everyone leaves can I have all of those who are going to the ball stay for a moment. Ok let's keep this short, so the girls won't kill me.

I just want to tell you, is that all of you have to be on your best behavior. That means no fights and making the pack loom bad. Got it?"

"alright all of you go and unpack."

In just a couple of hours I might be with my mate. I just hope I can find her, who ever she is I know she will be everything I want.

Catalina pov:

Wow this ballroom was wow. That's the only way I could describe it. I haven't seen anything like this ever, and I must likely never will again.

But I didn't even notice the tension between the two other packs. It's not like they were trying to hide it. It just seemed like no one knew what to do, the two young Alphas were just glaring at each other across the room. No one was trying to mingle, they were just trying to stay out of the way.

That is until my slut of a sister and her friends, they made way to both alphas and started to flirt. How any guys could find them attractive is beyond me. With that is seemed like everyone started to party.

"what a slut, I can't believe my cousin fell for that shut. Now tell me why you ran off."

"hi Lilly, I know she pulls that all the time. When guys see her they see an easy lay. "

"that is so true, how well do you know her."

" that's my sister"

" wow that sucks, but then why didn't you come together?"

" we don't get along, also im a disappointment to the pack and my family."

" what's wrong with them, you seem like the only decent person from your pack. oh well. Now let's have some fun. Who knows we might find your mates tonight!"

With that she drags me to the dance floor, where I can fell all of my pack members eyes on me. I knew that when my parents hear about this, I would have hell to pay. They told me not to draw attention to myself, sit in a corner they told me.

"Lilly I can't do this, I have to go."

" no way come on, your doing great, it's a party come have some fun."

That's when I felt someone looking at me. But when I looked around I couldn't pinpoint who it was. Just then I felt a pair of hands on my waist. When I turned around I noticed it was Lilly's cousin Christan.

" your too stiff, just let your body move with the music."

I just could move, I was going to have a panic attack, he was too close. What if hurt me like the others.I couldn't breath.

He and Lilly could tell something was wrong.

"hey are you alright calm down, breathe."

" let go of her Christan, it's alright Catalina. He's not going to hurt you. Breath"

" I have to get out of here."

I don't wait for them to respond I just have to get out. I run to the nearest door, which lead to the hall. I have to get out side, I can't let anyone be near me. But luck isn't on my side, as I reach a courtyard, im pushed to the ground.

"What the hell are you doing you stupid bitch. I had the Slivermoon alpha and then you had to catch his eye. You were meant to sit in a corner. You stupid idiot."

But she just didn't scream at me, she was kicking and punching me on the ground. I could feel when she broke a rib, and I felt the blood coming from the cuts.

" don't worry father will deal with you when you get home. "

Right as she was going to kick me again, we both heard a angry growled.

" Don't you lay another hand on my mate, or I will kill you."

That's the last thing I hear before I blackout.

Unknown pov 2:

The ball had been tense at the start. Me and Christan had to have your stare down, all of the packs couldn't miss the tension. But that was until some she-wolfs. That's when it hit me the most mouth watering scent ever. It was a mixture of wildflowers and apples.

I had to find the person behind this scent, my wolf was screaming mate. This night couldn't get any better, she's here. I was looking everywhere, that's when I saw her, she was with Lilly. She was breath taking, she was around five nine, to five eleven. She had black hair, and wearing a purple dress that fitted her well.

But the I saw Christan put his hands on her waist and all I could see was red. How date he touch my mate. She was mine, but all of a sudden she ran off, what did he do? If he hurt her I would kill him. But I would deal with him later, I had to make sure my mate was ok.

She had a head start on me, but I was able to find her scent easily. But what I found I was not prepared to see. Another she-wolf was betting my mate. I couldn't let anyone hurt her she was mine. I couldn't help the growl that came out of my mouth.

" Don't you lay another hand on my mate or I will kill you."

That's when I notice my mate had blackout, I looked at the she-wolf .

" I will deal with you later, right now I have to take care of my mate."

I scooped her into my arms and ran to one of the cars. Through the pack link I told my father to have your pack doctor ready. The Red River pack should hope my mate is ok, because that she-wolf is a member of theirs. My mate won't ever be hurt again, I will make sure of that.
