We just finished watching Midnight 5 when I saw sunlight shining in from the windows.
"Oh shoot!" I exclaimed and went up to the clock. "Phew, it's only 6:00 AM."
"Good. The last thing I need is to miss the first day of school all because of some..cute...dreamy sprinkle vampire...." Shelby trailed off.
"Yeah he may be cute but not as cute as Adam." Alesa sighed.
"Wait what?" I sniggered.
"U-uh NOTHING!" She answered quickly. Too quickly. "I don't know about you two but I don't have anything better else to do so I'm gonna get ready for school." She excused herself and retreated to her room. I knew she locked the door so we couldn't come in and embarrass her.
"That, sounds like a plan to me." I nodded and Shelby agreed with me. I guess we're going to school early today.
I walked to my dresser and decided that if I had to be mysterious, I was gonna pull it off with flair. I put on my purple cloak, my 'Cute but Psycho' sweatshirt, galaxy shorts, black fingerless gloves, a purple bandanna I tied around my face to use as a mask and a pair of purple high tops.

I made sure my mask covered my face and put up the hood of the cloak. Once I got downstairs, I saw Shelby and Alesa waiting for me.
"Woah, can you see through that thing?" Alesa asked, waving her hand in front of my face. I grabbed her wrist lightly and pushed her hand away.
"Yes I can see fine. It's 6:40. You guys need a ride?"
"Nah, we're good." Shelby pulled out her pink rollerblades as Alesa did the same for her red ones.
"Kk. See ya after school."
"Bye." They waved. I walked into the garage we had. Good thing Logan remembered to drop off my bike. I hopped on it and put my helmet on before speeding off to the high school.
The campus was pretty much deserted this early in the morning. Although, the few kids that were there were definitely staring at me. Guess it's not usual for a new kid to ride in on a motorcycle. There were only bike racks and it was too small to fit a motorbike in one of those so I chained it to a street lamp. Even after I walked into the school and took my helmet off people were giving me strange looks. Oh, right I forgot I'm wearing a mask. I laughed silently in my head. I made my way to my class but when I got there I noticed someone was already there. It was the same guy from last night! I took a seat and layed my head on the desk waiting for the class to start. 7:30 *sigh* I'm gonna be here for a while.
After students and the teacher started walking in I sat up straight.
"Shove off freak! You're in MY seat!" An annoying, high-pitched voice rang in my ear. I turned to see a strawberry pink haired girl who looked pissed off. I raised my hands up to say 'sorry' sarcastically and got up.
"Now class we have a new student. Jess would you like to come up and introduce yourself?" The teacher smiled sweetly at me. I leaned on the wall and waved my hand dismissively while shaking my head. That earned a few chuckles from the students. "Now don't be shy." I shrugged and walked up front. The only I did though was my little two-finger salute and then I went right back to my spot against the wall. The class started snickering a little. She had probably had enough of me at that point because she introduced me herself and told me to sit next to the masked boy who I found out was 'Aaron'. As I walked to the back someone stuck their leg out to trip me. I just jumped over it and sat down like nothing happened. Before I knew it. The bell rang and I headed to my next stop. My schedule looked like this:

In MAW (Magiks and Witchcraft) our teacher, Mrs. Hyria, was teaching us how to make a potion of illusion. I gotta admit, this might come in handy. She made me sit next to a blonde girl with glasses who really seemed to know what she was doing.
"H-Hi. I'm Emmalyn." She was beaming and nervous at the same time. I waved back at her and she seemed confused. "Are you going to say something?" I just shrugged. Emmalyn then did something unexpected, she talked to me in sign language. I had recently done a course in sign language back at HQ so I understood what she was saying. 'Can you understand this?' She signed. I sighed and signed back.
'Yes, actually.' Her smile got bigger.
'Can you talk? Are you deaf?'
'Yes I can, I just prefer not to and no I'm not deaf.' We talked in sign language for the rest of the lesson. It was like our secret code that no one else understood. We had some of the same classes so Emmalyn showed me around. It was going great until, right after science, when someone shoved me to the ground. I ended up scraping my knee and making whoever me pushed laugh.
"Hey Sasha, Zenix, check this out! We've got fresh meat." A boy wearing a skull shirt called over a boy with brown hair and..THE GIRL WHO NEARLY GOT AARON RUN OVER BY A CAR! I got up and simply walked away before being pinned to the lockers. "Oh we're not done with you yet."
"We need more members to join our gang. And since you're new around here, what better person to pick then you." Sasha smirked.
"That way you know who's in charge of this school." Zenix sneered.
"And what if I refuse." I said, catching them all off guard.
"You asked for it Gene, give her a black eye." Sasha said. The one pinning me to the wall, who I figured was Gene, raised his fist at me. But before he could do anything I kneed him in his 'weak spot', grabbed Emmalyn's hand and pulled her out of there as fast as possible.
"Wow that was brave of you to stand up to the Shadow knights." She said once we had stopped running. I froze.
"Shadow knights?" I repeated the word like it was foreign to me.
"Yeah. That's the name of their gang." Three new shadow knights, three people in a gang called the shadow knights. Of course it was so obvious. No one knew about the shadow knights except for spies. It makes sense that a bunch of rookies would do something like that. The fourth one must be the top agent considering that they were smart enough to make sure there were no leads on them being a spy. "Hello? Earth to Jess." Emmalyn waved a hand in my face.
"Oh! Huh?" I came out of my thoughts.
"You're knee is bleeding. You should probably go to the nurse." She pointed out. I was about to tell her I was fine but then I remembered something.
'Great idea!" I signed. 'Talk to you later." She signed and I ran off to the nurse.
