My alarm went off at 6 30 in the morning , I groaned but draged myself up somehow . I stood up and went straight to Evans room to wake him

"Evans get up, its 6 ......" I said as I pushed the door open
" What the hell" he shouted at me , he was standing by his bed in nothing but his boxers .
I laughed

" Evans I ll tell you a secret , .....there is a lock on your door which works " I said sarcastically trying to control my laughter .
" You know you should respect my privacy and not barge in , dumb" he said aa he picked his pants on the floor , I could see the slight blush on his cheeks .

" Awwww, is my lil brother blushing " I move towards him, grinning mischievously.

" You take one more step and I'll forget you are my sister " he says staring at me with a scowl . I chuckle

" Okay , Evans now am scared . Please be down in 10 minutes for your breakfast " I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes .

I went down and made waffles for breakfast , Evans came down in 15 minutes , he had his grey T-shirt and blue jeans on . His dirty brown colored hair pushed back . He picked up his plate of waffles and started eating it

" I am gonna go for a bath , have your breakfast and tell me when you go . And yeah I would be a bit late today ...."

" Where hare zu going" he looked up with his mouth filled with waffles .

" I've to go to a patients house ...." I said

" Why ? You never go to a patients house ....... is this someone special ?" He asked me with a smirk

" Oh of course Evans , I had a secret boyfreind who am gonna marry today but I didn't want to invite you so I was lying , it's a bummer you get to know about it " I said sarcastically , and gave him a tight smile .

He chuckled

"Oh please , I know no one would get stuck with you " he said smiling at me . His blue eyes twinkling , his eyes had a striking resemblance to mom's eyes . I had my father's green eyes .
I stuck out my tongue as I went upstairs to shower .

I was going to go to the Marin mansion today so I had to wear something good . I needed up wearing a white tank top blue faded jeans and a floral . I put on my blue heels and decided to keep my curly brown hair open .
I went downstairs with my white purse .

Evans was getting up to leave when he saw me ,
"Since you're gonna be late ...." he started
" No Evans you can't call your friends over . You make this place hell for me when you call them . " I finished

He groaned and picked up his backpack and headed out . He was a pretty descent teenager and I knew that . He didn't do smoking or drugs . He understood how difficult it was for me with mom gone .

He leaned in a second later
" Bye dumb" he said while smirking
I rolled my eyes ,
" Bye idiot " I smiled . I ate my waffles and in 15 minutes I also left .
I took the keys of my black Porsche and kept my bag in the passenger seat and drove to the clinic .
I reached clinic after 20 minutes, Anna was sitting on her desk , she glanced at me and smiled .
" Hi lyric" she said as she stood up and walked towards me , as usual she had my expresso coffee in one of her hands and her green tea in another .
" Hi Anna " I said and smiled.
She was wearing a white blouse and black pencil skirt , her black stilettos making clicking sounds as she approached me . Her blonde curls pushed back in a pony tail .
" You are coming with me for lunch don't forget " she said she she handed me my coffee and took a sip of her green tea .

" Oh shit Anna , am so sorry I forgot . You remember Jane who came yesterday right ?" I asked

" Yeah , the one who asked you to go to lizza Marin's house right ?"
She said as we started walking towards my cabin .

" Hmm, I told her I'll come today at 4 , I forgot it's Friday ,am so sorry "

She pouted , " okay but come with me tomorrow"

" Of course " I beamed .
Anna was not just my secretary, she was my best freind , currently doing majors in English , she was doing this job for financial help . We met in high school and have been best friends since . I always had lunch with her on Mondays , Wednesdays, Fridays and on Sundays we usually go out together . She knows everything about me . She was dedicated punctual and hardworking , qualities I loved about her .

" You know I have heard about lizza's brother , he has grown into a wierdo since Lilly's death " she said .
" I don't know why but this case seems creepy "I said as I took a sip of the expression I groaned internally as the hot caffeinated liquid did its wonders .
" I think it's pretty mysterious , but don't worry you can opt out of it whenever you want "
I nodded . We heard someone in the hall .

" I better go , patients are filling in " she said as she stood and went outside.
I sighed and opened my Mac book to see today's appointments.

At 2 30 my phone vibrated , an unknown number was calling

" Hi this is Jane " her chirpy voice said
" Hi Jane "
" I just wanted to confirm you are coming at the Marin mansion today at 4 right ? "
" Yes , I am you'll be there right ?" I asked , even though I was used to talk to strangers but going to a strangers house was a bit wierd .

" Yeah I'll be there but I'll be late , i have some work " she said in a tired voice

" Oh umm okay then I'll see you there " I said .

" Sure thing " she said .

I attended 2 more patients and called it off for the day . I left at 3 15 for the Marin mansion .I reached there in half an hour ,

I took my bag and applied my lip gloss once again .
I went up to the gate and rang the bell , it was a huge house of red and white color . On one side there was a beautiful garden and on the other there was a swimming pool
" Yes ? Who is it ?"a rough voice from the intercom sprang me out of my thoughts .
" Umm this is Dr lyric ",
" Oh of course , miss Marin is expecting you " the rough voice answered and I heard him shuffling around . The gates opened and I walked towards the main gate .
The main door was open, a man in his 40' s stood there wearing a black suit .
" Hello dr lyric please come inside ,miss Marin will join you in some time " he took me to.a large sitting area and went back without a word .
I looked around and took in the surroundings , the walls were of light green color , 2 big beige colour couches were there , a glass table in front the the couches . There were pictures hanging on the wall in the front .
I went closer to get a better view of the pictures .
Most of them were of the twins and their mother Carly Marin . Some included a young man , probably the twins brother .
I stared at one picture , it was the most beautiful one . The twins were holding their mothers hand , their brown curls flowing in the wind . The trio was grinning at the camera . The twins had almond shaped hazel eyes , oval face and beautiful light brown curls . Carly had the same eyes and she was looking very young.
I slowly touched the twins euphoric faces , they looked so happy that nothing could go wrong in their lives .....

" And what the hell do you think you are doing ?" A deep masculine voice jolted me out of my thoughts
