Phil:
I was so excited for lunch that I could barely contain myself in class. I just kept bouncing my foot and getting annoyed looks from all my classmates. But I didn't care, after Dan kissed me on the cheek I was pretty sure he felt the same way about me that I felt about him. After he had kissed me I was so stunned and it was so adorable how after that he turned around and gave me a little wave. I was almost late to class, but it was all worth it. His lips had felt so good on my cheek, now all I could think about was how they would feel on my lips.

Lunch finally came along and I couldn't wait to be with Dan again. I quickly got my lunch and then went to where Dan usually sits. There he was. Sitting down at a table kind of tucked in the back of the huge cafeteria alone. I could tell by the cover that he was reading Looking for Alaska, a masterpiece by John Green.
"Hey Dan." I said as I set my tray down and say pointed to the seat next to him "Is this seat reserved?
"Ya, for Phil Lester." He replied putting his book down placing his neck on his hands upheld by his arms. I smiled as I sat down next to him.
"Lucky me then, oh and by the way that right there is a work of art." I pointed to the book laying open on the table. Dan's face lit up as he grabbed my arm with both hands.
"I just started because I know John Green is such an amazing author and I just finished Paper Towns." I laughed at how cute he looked right now, his eyes literally swirled with excitement "I didn't know you liked John Green."
"Oh ya, he writes such heart wrenching books but they all have such a sad and truthful meaning."
"You are so right.." I could see Dan look down at my arm as he lightly grabbed them harder. He looked up just in time to catch me starring at him. I noticed he had these two moles on the side of his face in front of his dimple, they kind of looked like semicolons. It soon hit me that it made him look like he had a sad face on his face when he smiled. The bigger his smile was, the sadder the dimple got. I chuckled as I started at Dan.
"What is so funny?" Dan asked smiling, making me start to laugh.
"You have this cute sad face on your face when you smile." I say as I touch the cheek it's on.
"Oh ya, that." He fake smiles at me as he looks down at the floor, brushing my hand away from his cheek.
"Hey, Dan," I say taking my hand and gently placing it under his chin and making him look at me "it is the most adorable thing I have ever seen, besides you of course." A blush grows on his face, making him look even cuter.
Gosh, why do we have to be in public right now. I wish we were alone.
I realize that once again our faces are only centimeters apart, my hand is on his chin and our eyes are locked. He is so close that I can smell his bubblegum breath, and I love it. I slowly start to lean in, not caring if any one can see us and he does the same. As I start to slowly close my eyes, leaning my head to the right trying not to freak out that Dan Howell and I are about to kiss, I hear someone scream across the cafeteria.
"DAN HOWELL!"
Our eyes shoot open as I look behind me, trying to see who it is. I soon realize it is the girl who sits with Dan at lunch usually. I think Dan sees her first because when I turn back around to look at him his head is in his hands and he mumbles.
"I'm sorry."
"Dan, it's okay. We can do that another time." I say flirtatiously while winking down at the boy who is now peaking up at me.
"Oh Dan! Introduce me to this dashing young man."
I thought it was hilarious how Louise was embarrassing Dan, acting like his mother in front of me. Although, this did just give me more of an urge to hug him snugly.
"Louise, this is Phil Lester, he moved here from California last summer and he loves John Green!" Dan replies to her as she sits across from us.
"Phil, this is Louise, she is addicted to books and loves to dye the ends of her hair."
"Yep," she replied proudly "this week is pink." She said, showing me the pink ends of her hair.
"Nice." I said, smiling at her but sneaking a glance at Dan. We all just started taking about John Green, books and class. Then a boy names Conner came over and a girl named Zoe with her twin brother Joe. I had actually met them before and they all said hi to me as they filled in the table. Soon the table was full of laughter and banter, it was the most amazing feeling. To be laughing with people and to feel, accepted. Especially since Dan was there, I still couldn't get over how full of life his laugh was.
Unfortunately out great time was ruined by the bell, although that also meant I was closer to hanging out with Dan at my house
Alone
I thought,
Phil you sound so creepy, calm down Jesus
As we all started to walk to class in our own little group, Dan said bye to everyone. But before departing from us, he brushed by my ear.
"See you soon." He whispered.
