I'm back!!! So sorry for the long absence. School has been killing me and then in the summer I had to deal with my siblings and my dad's hatred of electronics. I was further distracted by the release of Pokemon Go. Does anyone else play that game? IF so tell me your team and in the next chapter I will tell you mine!!!

Annabeth watched as the entirety of Camp Half-Blood participated in the war exercise against Camp Jupiter. It was basically a game of capture. Not capture the flag. People would fight and capture other small groups. The winner would be the last team standing. While that was a rule each camp could also win with actions such as capturing a general, and capturing the leader(s). Annabeth was actually the leader for Camp Half-Blood. She was being protected by the Grace siblings, Thalia to her left and Jason to her right as she called out orders to her generals. Clarisse led the forward attack while Conner and Travis each had a stealth team that were infiltrating the roman stronghold. Katie was causing a wonderful distraction, her team taking out many Romans with vines and trees. On a command half of the archers launched arrows filled with laughing gas while the other half notched their arrows and pulled back their bows. She was pleased with how well her troops fought, and more so pleased with how well the Romans were holding against them. However, it was still a competition she aimed to win and so more orders fell from her mouth and into well listening ears. After doing so Annabeth let her eyes wander up to the opposing balcony that held the leaders for the Romans. Octavian, Reyna, and Frank. Reyna and Frank were both the Preators of New Rome while Octavian was their advisor. Her eyes narrowed when they met Octavian's grinning expression. With a mild sense of alarm Annabeth glanced at the other two leaders and grimaced when Frank's form wavered to reveal a training dummy.
"Hazel..." Annabeth muttered in shock at the brilliant use of the mist before stiffening when she felt something land on her shoulder. Turning she saw a young Barn owl perched on her shoulder, its elegant feathering and very species causing none of her protectors to cast a second look as she opened her mouth to speak.
"Fra-" Before Annabeth could finish her warning Frank shifted form an owl to a viper, sitting curled on Annabeth's shoulder as Reyna's clear and authority filled voice washed over th battle between them.
"Greeks! Surrender, for we have captured your leader!" As Reyna spoke Annabeth could see her stealth teams approach the balcony from behind, a small grin growing on her face.
"I could say the same Reyna. " Annabeth responded before nodding. A dagger and a sword gently touched Reyna and Octavian's necks respectively while Thalia placed the tip of an arrow against Frank's smooth scales. Each team gazed at the other, very well understanding their draw.
"Well done!" Chiron's voice boomed between the troops as his form trotted to stand within the field. "I am proud of each and every one of you! Please, lower your weapons. As a reward I have ordered enough Ice cream for everyone to enjoy!" A cheer erupted from the mass of demigods at the idea of the sweet after-training snack. Weapons were sheathed and companions were helped up. The Apollo cabin took care of any injuries and everyone slowly filed in to get a scoop or five of whatever flavor of ice cream flavor they desired. Annabeth watched with a sigh. A war was coming, that much she knew. However, she also knew to enjoy the peaceful moments between.
A flying whipped cream covered cherry smacked Annabeth in the cheek, sticking slightly to her skin. Picking it off she glared at Travis before grabbing a can of whipped cream. A cry of war came from Clarisse as she snatched up a bottle of chocolate sauce, her cabin following suit.
Well, enjoy the moments, as peaceful as they can be, when everyone is assaulting each other with various frozen dairy related sugary foods'
