Gaea
Gaea sat in the center of the forest Perseus had created. The soft soil was cool on her skin. It had been three days since she was trapped in this forsaken dome. Looking up she stared at the clouds that shouldn't exist. She knew she should have seen this coming when none of the other demigod aided Jackson. Looking around she smiled though. She saw the birds and animals that where enchanted to grow with the forest. The clang of a hammer brought her out of her thoughts. Standing up she followed the noise until she found herself behind Perseus' house. She watched silently as the boy attempted to build a small stable.
"You know if you're just going to stand there you could help me." Gaea looked up startled at the boy.
"Why would you ask me for help when I am your enemie?" Percy rolled his eyes at this.
"If you think like that then we are both dead. We can't be enemies any more. It would be a waste of our time." He said before holding out a hammer. "I found the tools in my house so we might as well use them." He said smirking. Hesitantly Gaea grabbed the hammer from the boy's hand.
"How would I use this tool?" She asked quietly. He stepped closer to help her.
"Grip it by the handle... here" he pointed to the wooden part. " use the flat part to hit the nail until it is all the way into the wood" he explained. He demonstrated by hitting a nail repeatedly until it had gone all the way. "Now you try" he ordered. Gaea grabbed the hamner before hitting the nail. It bent to the side but she made it go all the way in. Percy smiled before grabbing another board of wood and the other hammer. He quickly set to work and after an hour they where finished. Percy excused himself before going into his house. Gaea looked at the small building they had made before looking down at her hands. They where red, dirty and sore but she was proud. her thoughts turned to Jackson. They may have been enemies but there was a reason she had tried to recruit him so many times. She had to admit, every time he turned her down made her want him more. He was powerful and loyal. Hades. He had convinced her, the prideful goddess Gaea, to work. Gaea was torn from her thoughts when she felt a presence tapping at her mind. She opened her mind cautiously and let the being in.
/Speak\ she ordered.
/Sister why are you so cold to me?\ a familiar voice said within her thoughts.
/Erebus what do you wish?\ She asked.
/Can you tell me more about Percy Jackson?\ he asked. This put Gaea on edge.
/Depends on why you ask\ she replied to him. Her brother paused,
/I wish to know that is all\ he answered. She walked back to her house as she explained some facts she knew about Percy.
Percy grabbed two cups and filled them with water before grabbing the plush BlackJack. Stepping outside the back door he looked around for Gaea to thank her for her help but she was gone. Sighing he put the cups on a small piece of wood before placing the toy BlackJack in the stall. The toy began to glow a bright green color before it grew to reveal a large black winged stallion.
"Yo boss I'm back and ready dor whatever" BlackJack said.
"Don't call me boss" Percy said smiling. Percy was so happy to see BlackJack that he didn't notice the small shadow that was steadily traveling closer to him. BlackJack snorted nervously as the shadow melted into Percy's own causing the boy to shiver.
