Areon p.o.v.

We really didn't do much the first couple days in the break. All we did was report Terry to the authorities. There was a huge scandal about it, but with some magic, we were able to simmer it down. Sadly we couldn't adopt Terry, mostly because Aragon doesn't have a job and I'm still a minor. Luckily though Aragon's uncle was able to get temporary custody of Terry and he wasn't sent to social services. Apparently to become an Alpha you have to sign up to be a foster parent in case a pup's parents die.

Now I'm just studying for fall quarter. Aragon makes fun of me for studying since we still have two weeks till school starts again. I'm already way ahead of everyone else in my class...and the second year students. The first year schooling can actually all be done in a term, but since people can be lazy and some people struggle with magic, it takes a whole year for most people. I'm now studying to take an exam that'll hopefully boost me up to a second year by winter term. Third and fourth year are actually the hardest and most people drop out after that. Actually, two and a half years are actually all a regular magician needs. The third and fourth years are mostly about your minors, which you don't really need. That's why most students leave, they don't see a point in studying something really hard if they don't really need it.

"Ari what you reading," Skye asks me.

I turn away from my book and look over at the small boy. He's sitting on the high stool next to me as I read on the kitchen island. "I'm reading about what not to put in your potion. What are you reading," I ask him as I see a book in his hand. He shows me the cover of the book and I almost snort. It says 'How to understand boys?' "Why do you need to understand boys?"

Skye sighs dramatically. "Castille no like my friend Jason and I no know why. Plus he acts funny around me sometimes. I want to know why."

I chuckle as I hear this. Skye has no idea that Castille has a crush on him. It's really cute if you ask me. "I think whenever Castille gets really mad like that you should give him a little kiss on the cheek."

"You think that work?" I nod my head. "Kay. I try that next time. Thank you, Ari." Skye jumps off his chair and runs over to his brothers' room. I kind of feel proud to give Skye some good advice. I've never had a little brother or a little cousin who would come ask me for help and now I have two.

Before I can go back to my book, the front door opens to reveal Tyler. He looks over at me and I turn away from him. I get up from the stool and grab my stuff. I haven't talked to him these last couple of days. I don't know what to do in these situations, so I always leave the room.

"Areon please don't go," Tyler pleads as I start to leave.

"I was going to go pick up Terry right now actually. The last time I left him with Devin this long he started to teach him how to twerk," I tell him. I put my notes and stuff into my backpack really quickly.

"Can we talk, please? I...um...want to get to know you," he says kind of shyly. I look over at Tyler and I see him looking down. I kind of start to feel bad for ignoring him. If Terry ever acted like this I'd feel pretty awful.

"What do you want to talk about Tyler," I ask in a monotone voice.

He looks up at me and smiles. "Okay...um let's talk about...how about we ask each other questions? That'll make this easier right?"

"Sure," I agree. I shut the door and lead him towards the couches. "Who did you lose your virginity to," I ask. If we're going to do this then I'm going to have some fun.

I see Tyler gets flustered at the question. "Isn't that a little personal?"

I shrug. "I don't think so. I officially lost mine to Aragon," I tell him. I have no shame in admitting that since Aragon basically told everyone about it and Tyler probably knows.
