In my new book, The Kingdoms of Flames and Storms, I show a character that will be definitely be in Terry's story. The character isn't that important in The Kingdoms of Flames and Storms, actually they will probably never show up again, but it'll give you a little backstory about where they come from. So please go read it. If you have a good memory, you'll know who the character is. Well let's get to the story.
Aragon p.o.v.
I look over at Areon and I can see the grin on his face as he kneels on the corner. I then look at the other corner and I see Areon's grandfather glaring at his corner as he kneels.
You see, Mr. Halfbridge was basically being a jerk to me like usual, but this time Areon wasn't having it. He bit his grandfather's leg and kicked him in the shin. His aunt Lucy then tried to punish him, but Areon said his grandfather needs to also be punished. His aunt said his grandfather was an adult and doesn't need to be punished. Areon then went on this confusing, but cute rant about Matin Luther King Jr. and inequality. In the end, Mr. Halfbridge was punished.
Areon doesn't seem to care since his grandfather is being punished too. He's a really weird kid.
I've noticed that there are a couple similarities and differences between little Areon and grown up Areon. First off, they're both cute, but they both act differently about it. Whenever I called grown up Areon cute, he'd blush and get offended for being called cute. Little Areon though knows he's cute and uses it to get what he wants. He used it yesterday on Astor to eat half of his Snickers bar.
Something that stayed the same though is how much of a caregiver he is. Even though he doesn't remember Terry or Themis, he still takes care if them and makes sure they're comfortable. He even watched Project Runway with Terry before bedtime.
"Pa," Terry asks. I look down at my lap where the white haired boy is sitting. "Daee back?"
I bite my lip as I look at him. I don't want to lie to him, but at the same time, I don't want to confuse him. How is a one-year-old suppose to understand that one of his dads were turned into four years old and is now his playmate?
"Your dad will be back soon," Selena says as she walks into the room. She's been spending a lot of time here these last couple of days. I think she's trying to build a better relationship with Areon.
"Kay," is all Terry says. He then looks at her and does grabby hands. Selena smiles and picks the little guy up.
I hear the doorbell ring and I tell Selena I'll go get it.
I open the door and am surprised to see my family standing there. Even my uncle Josh is here with Astro and his brothers.
"What are you guys doing here," I ask.
"Something happened," my dad says before stepping inside the house. "We need to get you and everybody else to Magistille."
"What's going on," I hear Sara ask from behind me.
Dad looks at her and says, "There's been an attack at Crystalview."
Sara's eyes widen. "What?"
Dad then starts explaining what happened. A couple days ago a group of magicians broke through Crystalview's defenses and started terrorizing the place. They were apprehended, but before they were able to question them, the magicians glowed and there was a huge explosion, killing many people. Dad then tells us that there have been attacks like that all over Earth and on Magistille's moons.
"Were they able to find anything about the explosions," Sage Tyler asks. I don't realize it till now that everybody had arrived at the living room.
