chapter 8: Daniel's POV

DANIEL'S POV:

I rescued her when she was about to collapse. I am her best friend, protector, and a knight.

I won't even bother leaving her alone. It's my responsibility to protect her from any harm.

I don't know but, for the past few days after that incident. She continued ignoring me. Am I invisible? 

She doesn't know what I feel. I want to make her feel what I really have for her.

But, she won't listen in every word I say.
Every time I speak, she always barges in.

*sighs*

what would I do?

on a Saturday night...

I asked Janella her number. And directly called her.

I went outside the house and rode the bus. I just want to explore that night.

She picked up the phone and our conversation started.

Kath: hello? umm, who's this please?
daniel: It's me best!
Kath: oh! why did you call?
(she answered in a very lowly voice)
daniel: nothing, I just want to make sure if you're alright.
Kath: yeah! I'm fine.

(as you can see, I stopped over her house. That's my real purpose. I mean I really do not have the plan to stroll around and explore)
daniel: sure?
Kath: affirmative.
(I climbed at her balcony, using their old ladder and said)
daniel: can you be at your balcony?
Kath: why?
(she went out of her room and went to her balcony. I couldn't reach the end part that's why I screamed out her name  through a whisper)
daniel: BEEEEEEEST!
Kath: what are you doing here? it's almost past midnight.
daniel: I don't care. I have something to tell you.
( that's just when I fell. From the ladder, she rushed from her room going to the garden. Where I was.)
Kath: are you alright?
daniel: yeah! no injuries.
Kath: what do you want to tell me?
(she told me that while helping me sit. We just looked above the skies watching the stars gleam.)

daniel: well, you know what Kath. Ever since we met I really liked you. I never had the guts to tell you this because maybe you would neglect me afterward.
And that babe thing. It's just our call name plus it's nothing special. I just want to clarify things, because you had been ignoring me for the past 2 weeks actually.

Kath: I also feel the same best. From the moment I knew you up until now. That's what I felt also may you'd reject me if I tell you. And seeing you and Janella together during snack time or even lunch pains me. Most especially that text. and you know during homecom------

daniel: I know that. I heard your conversation. I thought that it was just a fallastic talk you had.

Kath: NO! all of those were TRUE!

I held her tight to me. And she leaned on her head at my shoulder. That night ended really great.

I waited for a bus at the nearby store 5 meters from their house and I bid farewell.

'bye best, Goodnight and sweet dreams.
I would always protect you no matter what. '

she beamed me with a smile. And that moment ended.

As I  arrived at our house. I kept on smiling and I can't even sleep. I tucked in my pillow near to me and hugged it very tight.

I ALREADY TOLD HER HOW I FEEL. AND SHE DID AS WELL, WHAT A PERFECT NIGHT.
