chapter 30: reminiscing the past all over again

KATHRYN'S POV: 

We all know that if fate has to end, then it will. It is because our lives are under control by God. I am given the chance to be with Daniel for 2 years. And I know that he already knew about my disease. I never told him before that I once suffered cancer. 

Now all I wanted to do is enjoy my time left with him. It may not be that possible but I know I can make it. So, I asked mom to discharge me from the hospital. 

I know that the doctors won't allow me but I'd rather be outside from this jail just to spend my remaining hours.

I called Daniel and told him that we'd be on our trip to Batangas. The place where we bumped at each other. The place where I met Tita Carla. 

I know that place would forever be treasured here in my heart. 

----------

So Daniel picked me up at around 4 pm. As he was driving he kissed my hand and held it tight saying "You know Kath, that even if time is here to tear us apart. I Love You Very Much."

Upon hearing those words, tears started falling from my eyes.

I laughed instead because I don't want to show Daniel that I am in pain.

We arrived at the same beach resort at around 9 pm. Daniel unloaded the car and I checked in a room for both of us. After an hour we had our supper nearby the seashore and had our bonfire. I leaned towards his chest and then he kissed my forehead. I can feel the lips of Daniel pressed towards my forehead. 

I wanted this day and here it is. I looked upon Daniel's eyes and my mouth started to utter the words "come on baby, let's dance just like our promenade". He smiled at me and pulled me up. We began to dance and I can hear the violins that played at our first dance together. I closed my eyes and cherished the most priceless moment of my life.

it's almost 1 am and I think Daniel's sleepy. I told him to get some sleep and so he did. He stole from me a kiss from the lip and said: "Goodnight my love, I LOVE YOU". I smiled and let go of his hand. I wandered along the shore and reminisced the time when we bumped into each other at this shore. It has been years already and I can still imagine that very moment.

After some time, I went inside the room and sat on the desk and started writing about this day. Thank Lord for this day because I had another day with the person who gave meaning to my life and to the person who gave me the reason to live.
