chapter 1: Mr. strange guy?

KATHRYN's POV:

The first day of school, whoo! breathe in and breathe out.

Every time school days are about to approach, I get excited because I am able to see my friends. I am heading to school just a few blocks from home. Mom is driving because our driver Manong Julio got sick. My chest is pounding and I intensely got chills all over me.

And yet, I hadn't introduced myself.

I am Kathryn, 15 years of age. I am the class valedictorian in our school Kolehiyo de Santiago. I had been in the honor roll since nursery up until now. I am the only child in the family. And I am going to be a Junior this year.

*krrrrrriiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnng*

Just in time! I ran towards the bulletin board and directly searched in what class would I be. Just as I expected, I belong to the most humorous section. I bet I could make this year another fruitful year like last year. As I stepped inside the room I didn't notice that my first seatmate for the first day of class, is my last seatmate back then when I was a sophomore.

enough of that...

As I noticed we had a transferee at our section as well as the other section, wherein my girlfriends are at. I miss them so much and I want to talk to them already. Our professor Mr. Freddy, planned for different activities for us to get along with each other. I got the chance to talk with the new guy in our class. 'WELL YEAH! HE's A GUY', a childish one.

And boo yeah, he's somewhat annoying towards my ears. By the way, his name is Khalil. I don't want to hear his annoying voice, each and every day.

it was snack time when suddenly...

I noticed someone unfamiliar to me. He is nearby the school's railings. I thought he was that 4th-year student that I knew, but then he was the newbie at the other class.

Oh! his aura seems to be opposite towards mine. I think he is a shy one or a quiet one? How odd! His hair is kind of spiky. Well, he's a lot taller than me, and it's like he hadn't noticed any person around him.

I headed back in the classroom, that's when...

I didn't notice the time it's almost time for classes to dismiss.

I need to hurry, I know mom is waiting at the parking area. But better yet, I need to go to my close friends in the senior year. Well, Julia and Sam had been with me for almost 2 years. They're the once who comforts me when I'm down and the once who make me smile and laugh when I'm going to breakdown.

But it's too late, I only had a glimpse of them because they are also heading home and they're already at the school's gate. ARGHHHHHHHH. I hate it when I do not get the perfect timing.

That ends, my first day! I hope tomorrow would be an awesome one.
