chapter 12: special pov

SPECIAL POV (Julia and Seth):

it was the summer of 2010, as I can remember I met someone that would never be erased in my mind.

He was the one who saved me when I was going to drown from the university' s swimming pool.

Specifically,  I was on the swimming team. He was at the team as well.

that incident when I suddenly had cramps.

I asked for help.. but, nobody heard me.

to my surprise, I saw someone jump into the water and grabbed me going to the poolside.

the last thing I can remember is that after I was saved. Somebody called him "SETH! THE COMPETITION IS ABOUT TO START".

He ran as fast as he could. I was mesmerized by his handsome face. I wish someday I could see him again by chance.

it was almost February...

when I heard the hottest news in school. They said the famous national swimmer just transferred to our school.

I was curious, what does that person look like.

That's when classes were about to start and a sudden knock intrudes our discussion. The principal barged in and there HE IS! SETH!

OHHHHHH GOSSSSSHHHHHH! HE'S THE NATIONAL SWIMMERRRRRRRRR! FINALLY! THANK YOU, LORD! I AM ABLE. TO SEE HIM AGAIN.

the principal began to introduce him.

And luckily, we're seatmates. I said 'Hi' to him and then he smiled at me.

He scratched my head and began pointing to me.

he then started to speak

'if I'm not mistaken you are the one I saved from that certain summer. Am I right?'

'yes! by the way, I'm Julia :)' I said in reply.

Everything's running smoothly. He made friends and one of which is Daniel and Khalil. It's like they've known each other for a long time.

I tried to ask Daniel if they've known each other. He said that Seth was part of their band.

I was like.

REALLY? HOW DREAMY! A SWIMMER AND A BAND MEMBER? ;)))

and then the days passed by.

I was about to get my bag inside our classroom. When I heard Khalil and Seth talk.

'you know what bro. I really like this certain person for a long time. Should I tell her?' Khalil asked him

'Bro, if you really like that girl. It takes courage and guts to confess to her. if you have them, then why not? All you've got to do is be yourself. No matter what happens always look at the positive side. And if she rejects you, Smile! it's not your loss it's hers. She didn't think of how grateful she is to have a person who loves her more than himself ready to take the risks for the person he loves the most.' He said.

'I also like this girl. But I can't tell you now. Soon, I would also tell her what I really feel. I should gain more courage and guts first before I do that.' he added.

'Thanks, bro you're always the best on this kind of scenarios' Khalil thanked him.

'no problem, till then :)' he replied.

who could be this lucky girl? I hope she's pretty. But, I hope I would be the one. Silly me.

it would never be possible. Maybe he likes someone popular as he is. Lucky girl :(

before the recognition day...

Seth talked to me.

he was seated next to me at the rooftop where I watched the birds and clouds up above. We were alone, ONLY THE TWO OF US.

he had with him a netbook.

and then he started to speak.

'you know what Jul! I really like someone. How would I tell her? You really know her'

what?! I knew the person he likes? ouch! :(

is it Mitch or Tippy or who?????

I answered him in reply.

'go ahead and tell her!'

'okay! could I practice it with you?' he asked.

'sure why not' I said in reply.

I was smiling at him. But, deep within I was truly hurt. VERY HURT!!!

Seth: you know what I like you. :)
Julia: really? That's very sweet of you.
Seth: You really think so?
Julia: yea sure. Go ahead and tell her.
Seth: I just did.

He opened his netbook and showed me a video of himself.

Shouting out loud my name!

JULIA BARRETO! I LIKE YOU THAT MUCH! VERY MUCHHHHHHHHHHH!

I was laughing hard. Because his face was very funny. In the last part of the video, he stood up and went downstairs.
He left me all alone.

That's just when...

My classmates arrived at the rooftop with their iPads. And then, formed something.

it was a picture of him bringing a bouquet of daffodils. My favorite flower.

then,

my classmates...

scattered...

and there he was...

at the back everyone...

bringing along a bouquet of daffodils.

He began narrating the first time we met. He added.

YOU KNOW WHAT JUL. IT'S HARD TO TAKE CARE OF A PLANT UNTIL IT GROWS. YOU HAVE TO NURTURE IT WITH CARE. BUT, WHAT CAN I DO? I LOVE THE PERSON WHO LOVES THESE  FLOWERS. FROM A LITTLE SEED TO THIS BEAUTIFUL FLOWER. I KNOW YOU LOVE THIS FLOWERS. EVEN THOUGH IT TAKES TIME FOR THIS LITTLE WORM TO GROW. I TOOK PATIENCE WITH ME AND PERSEVERANCE TO HAVE A PERFECT PRESENT FOR THE PERSON I LOVE.

REMEMBER JUL. IT WAS ALSO THIS DAY WHEN WE MET. APRIL 1ST. AND I'm GLAD THAT I'VE MET YOU.

I was so teary-eyed. I embraced him and whispered to his ears that I also feel the same. He embraced me even tighter. And the crowd was really loud and they began showering us with rose petals and gave us applause.

a day worth remembering. My heart was then satisfied. :) I like you too Seth. Not just like LOVE ♥
