chapter 28: THE FAMILY TALK

KATHRYN'S POV:

It was midnight, and we've got only a week to prepare for our wedding. 

Who would've thought that MY BEST FRIEND was the one I would be within the front of the altar. 

I mean, time really does fly that fast and you would never know what fate could bring...

sooner or later I'm no longer a BERNARDO,

I'm going to be MRS. PADILLA.

 *sighs* I'm gonna miss mom and dad.

well, I was at the terrace when I was thinking of those memories...

I noticed a shadow from beyond...

I got a huge feeling that someone was at my back,

I thought it was Daniel...

but then,

it was DAD............

he sat beside me and began to speak...

"My little baby, all grown up.. malapit ka nang ikasal anak" 

he beamed me with a smile...

but then, he began to cry :(

"dad, no matter what you'd always be my king. Even if I found my prince, nobody can ever replace your throne" I said

"I mean you we're just a little sapling.. the baby that I was cuddling at my arms.." 

"Now you're getting married :'(, all I ever want for Daniel is take care of our princess.."

"I know he will dad.. just trust him" 

he embraced me tightly and I can hear his sobs... 

I'm ALSO GOING TO MISS MOM AND DAD...

mom then followed at the terrace, and we thought of my childhood memories...

we laughed and laughed 'til our stomachs hurt... 

and became emotional when we bring back the wedding...

I love you mom and dad (king and queen).. the chess pieces that I would always protect.
