"Riley do you mind going downstairs and helping Easton?" My dad asks me.
"Sure," I say and head downstairs. We got to the hotel a half an hour ago, and we are still unpacking.
When I get to the lobby I see Easton is there with three bags on each arm, one around his neck, and she is pulling three suitcases.
"Oh my lord," I say holding back laughter.
"This, is cruelty. Now help me before I loose a limb," He says.
"Hold your horses. You're being very demanding," I say teasing him.
"Oh, I'll show you demanding," He snaps. I laugh and go to him and take the bag off his neck one of his arm and two suitcases. He sighs as we make our way to the elevator.
"Good you guys are here," My mom says as we get to our floor. "Cooper and Colton are sharing a room, Ember and Easton, Me and your father, and Riley and Madden," My mom says. We all shrug and our mom guided us down the hall to each of our rooms.
After we drop all the bags off we all are gathered in my moms room. Just talking about how this weekend is going to go down.
"Alright, if the creek don't rise, today will work just as planned. We'll go eat, visit Clay. Find something to do around here, then do whatever we want around the hotel," My mom says. And most of us nod or murmur that we agree.
"So what time are we going to see Clay?" Easton asks.
"We got here pretty late, so maybe around seven. Depending on how long it takes us to eat," My mom says.
"Why can't we just go to McDonald's?" Ember asks.
"Wherever you guys want to go," My mom says. We all look at each other.
"Subway," Cooper stands up and says.
"McDonald's," Ember stands up and says.
"All of favour of Cooper fighting for Subway?" Easton says. Colton's hand goes up. "All in favour, of Ember fighting for McDonald's?" And everyone else's hands go up. "Majority rules. Subway is the guilty party. We will be going to McDonald's. Thank you for your time. Case closed," Easton says. We all smile and laugh.
"Let's go then!" Ember says.
"Hold your horses," My dad says. "We are going to get settled in first. We just got out of the cars, we don't want to get back in them right yet. Explore the hotel, unpack and calm down," He stays. We all nod and go to our rooms.
*~*"So your telling me.... That Cooper.... Used to play with Barbie dolls," Madden gets out through fits of laughter. I laugh along with him.
"Yep, apparently he said it was 'a faze' and it was from when he was five... Until he was thirteen," I say. He laughs some more.
"I can't believe that," Madden says, his laughter dying.
"So tell me a little bit about Cami when she was younger," I say to him.
"Cami? Why?" He asks.
"She is your sister... Isn't she?"I say.
"No, where did you hear that?" He asks.
"Well, last summer I was on the phone with you and her, and you said she is your younger sister," I tell him referring to the phone call from before the summer. He thinks for a moment, then he sits up.
"Ok, I remember. I didn't say she was my little sister, I said she is like my little sister," He says. I nod.
"Oh," I say. I don't know why, but knowing that him and Cami have been friends for so long just.... Annoys me.
