After I had a break down in the middle of the hospital Madden took me to get something to eat and get me cleaned up.
"I'm really sorry. About the whole... Well, I guess I'm just sorry, for what you have to go through," He says. I smile weakly at him.
"It's fine.... I guess I was just holding in all my emotions, and then they all came crashing to the surface," I tell him honestly. He nods.
"Well we should go back to the group to see what's going on,"Madden says. I nod and we go up to the elevators.
Once we get up to the floor Clay is staying on, my mom and dad come towards us.
"There you guys are, we are going to go find something to do, let's go," My dad says.
"Wait, daddy.... I want to stay the night here," I say. My dad looks taken back, and I knew he was going to say no, so I put my head down. But then I hear him sigh.
"If you want to, Madden would you like to stay with her?" He asks Madden and he nods. "Alright, come back tomorrow by at least three o'clock," He says. I smile and nod.
*~*Me and Madden first went to go get something to eat before we did anything else.
"How are you going to talk to him?" Madden asks.
"I don't know. I just want to be able to talk to him again, just because I'm gone from his life, doesn't mean he is gone from mine," I tell him. He nods.
"Well, we should probably get going, the stores are starting to close," I nod.
We walk up to Clay's room and stand outside the door.
"Are you going to go in?" Madden asks. I sigh and nod. As I open the door he looks up.
"Oh, hi," He says. I wave at him.
"Hi I'm Madden," Madden says going over to give him a hand shake.
"Hey, did I forget you too?" He asks Madden.
"No man, actually we've never met before, I'm her friend," He points over to me. "Soon to be boyfriend," He says. My jaw drops. Clay chuckles and then gives him a fist pound.
Now that I stop and look at Madden and Clay and think about them each... I think they were separated at birth. They act the exact same way. And talk the exact same. Clay has his thick country accent but, Madden has this country accent but it is light, light you wouldn't be able to notice.
"So who are you?" He asks looking over to me. I am trying my best for my voice not to crack because I feel like I'm chocking back tears.
"M-my name is Riley," I say to him. He nods.
"That's cool, you know unisex and all," He says. I smile at the ground. He puts his hand out for me to shake it. And I go over and shake it. "Did I forget you too?"
"Uhm, kind of," I say with a dry laugh.
"Oh," He says looking down. "I-um, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to forget and..." He trails off.
"It's alright. I mean it's not like you got to choose who you forgot, I bet if you were to forgot someone, you would forget Blake," I say.
"Blake? Why?" He says.
"You don't remember what happened," I ask him.
"All I can remember is... Well nothing really. It's like I bought a puzzle and half of the pieces are missing," He says. I nod.
"Yeah, I would never be able to imagine," I say. He nods.
"So what are you guys doing here," He asks.
