Riley's POV again :)

"Alright, run it again, try and find some way to get past without showing them where your going," I say to Cooper.

"Don't you think I want that?" He smirks. I give him a death glare. He puts his hands up.

"I'll try my best," He says. I nod. "Line up! We're going again," Cooper yells.

"We have done it ten times already," Freddie says. I can see Cooper give him a glare.

"And now you'll do it for a eleventh, and a twelfth if I feel like you guys need to. He said line up, so line up," I said boldly. He sighs and nods.

I'm a little on edge lately. With Blake in town, and Madden, and Clay just got back, the homecoming game... I have a lot to worry about.

"Coach, I'm not sure if we're going to be ready for the homecoming game," I say to him. He looks at me.

"You were the only one who had faith in them, why give up now?" He asks. I sit on the bench.

"I'm not giving up, but to face this next school, I know there quarterback, and he is very good at trick plays. They need to be a ten and right now they are a eight," I say. He sighs.

"They will get there," He says.

"By tomorrow?" I ask.

"Riley, without you, this team would still have a losing streak, and there would be no football program at this school anymore. You gave these kids hope, don't shit on their dreams now," He says. I sigh and nod.

"How was that?" Cooper asked.

"If you released faster, it would have been perfect," I say. He nods.

"Alright, you guys need to be faster. Split yourselves into two groups. Half is doing sprint ladders and the other half is doing suicides. Me and the coach are timing you guys. You guys are competing against each other. The group that is faster than the other will skip the warm up next practice," I say. They nod. "But split up evenly. Cooper and Colton split up, and Madden and Grayson," I say.
*~*

I was so tired after school from football that I just went home and stayed in the basement. Clay is back in his room, he said his room back home was better, but he's adjusting.

"It's hard describing a heartache,

All because it's a one of a kind of thing,

A serious injury,

And a whole lot of endless pain,

If it was a storm,

I'd compare to a hurricane,

Oh it's even got a name,

If if was a drink,

It would be a strong one,

If it was a sad song,

It would be a long one,

If it was a colour it would be a deep, deep blue,

But if we were talking about a heartache,

It would be you,"

The song by Gary Allen sings. I sigh and take a sip of my coke. Then my door burst open, and all my friends come in.

"Told you," Lucas says. I sigh.

"What?" I ask.

"Your not ok, and your not having a family game night," Lucas says.
