I walk into the house after a long day of being pissed off. When I get to the living room everyone stares at me.
I look at Ember because she's the only one who will give me eye contact. 'Coop' she mouths out. I sigh and walk upstairs. I'm just tried. Of everything. I lay down and dose off.
*flashback*
"Riley! Cooper! Colton! Timber!Ember! Come' here," my dad says. We all gather in the living room, waiting for him to speak.
"So, um-" he starts.
"Dammit Brice, you could never get straight to the point could you?" My mom states. We laugh. "Anyways, he heard news on Clay," She says. I almost jumped off of Colton's lap.
"See, Clay.. Is awake. He is in Summerland-" my dad says.
"Around a four hour drive," my mom cuts in.
"What! Why couldn't they bring him closer, there has to be a closer Hospital!" I say.
"Riley, sweetie. When we came from Kentucky he was being transferred over. They couldn't get him past the border so he was stuck in Idaho. Closest to the East side of BC. So that's how he got stuck there. They gave him to that hospital because they said his heart rate was dropping for the first time since they got him from the hospital over in Kentucky. So they had to drop him off at the closest hospital possible," My mom says. I sigh and Colton starts rubbing my back.
"But, there is more.." My dad starts.
"Clay did suffer some memory lost... From the accident," My eyes go wide.
"The doctors asked him questions a few hours after he woke up.. And they asked him his birthday, his mom name and his dad's..." My dad says after my mom.
"They also asked him how many siblings he has..." My mom starts.
"And he said... Three," my dad finishes.
"And that three... Were Easton, Colton and Cooper," my mom says.
*end of flashback*
I wake up with my cheeks all wet. I lay my head on my pillow and just let my tears fall.
He doesn't remember me.
*~*" How ya holding up?" Jake asks as he drives me to school.
Casey had an early class so he had to leave around eight.
"If it helps he doesn't remember us either," Jack says. I nod towards him. They sigh.
"Wanna sit with us at lunch?" Jake says.
"I think I'll sit outside by myself," I say.
"Riley we are not going to let you sit by yourself," they say at the same time . I don't reply. They park the car and we all get out. I don't know where I'm going but I just walk around the school.
I see Grayson coming over to me.
"You." He says. I stop in front of him. Then he looks at me. "What's wrong?"
"N-nothing, I... Have to go," I say and start walking the other way. The bell rings.
Finally.
I go and head up to Spanish.
*~**flashback*
"Riley come on, just hurry up so we can go. Ya know you want to," Clay says for the eighth time.
"Clay, I have to help Blake. I'm sorry." I tell him.
Tonight was our schools dance. But I was supposed to help Blake with his race car.
