"Happy birthday to Riley and Easton! Happy birthday to you guys!!!" Cooper and Colton yell bouncing at the foot of each of our beds. I groan.
"What did we do to deserve this?" I ask.
"I have no idea," Easton says sitting up and rubbing his eyes.
"I don't want cake or anything. I'm staying here," I say putting covers over my head.
"Too bad," Colton says lifting the blankets off my head. I sigh.
Maybe this won't be a day of relaxation.
I go downstairs and see that everyone has already started eating the cake. I stand in the doorway with my arms crossed.
"Ri, do you want a slice?" My mom asked me.
Out of everyone in my family. She should have been the one to know that I don't want to celebrate this day. Why would I want to celebrate this day? Every time I think of this day it reminds me of Clay falling into that coma over and over again.
I shake my head and walk away, out the front door and I slam it shut. I don't go anywhere's I just sit on the front step. I don't want to go anywhere's. I wanted to stay in my room. I didn't want to wake up today.

Have a great day Riles. Maybe we can meet up later?I look at all the texts I get. And I reply with thanks you's and being nice even though I rather tell them all that I don't want anything.
"Riles, get back inside," Easton says opening the door half ways.
"You should know why I don't want to celebrate today. And last year everyone respected my decision. Why is this year any different?" I say. He sighs.
"Come on, just at least pretend to be happy," Easton says. I look at him with a serious face.
"No," I say. He sighs and goes back into our house. Then my dad comes out and sits beside me.
"You know, Everyone is in there not knowing what to do because you're out here," He says looking straight.
"This day is not something I want to celebrate. We didn't last year, why can't this year be the same?" I say looking forward.
"Because you shouldn't be moping around because of what happened last year. We aren't happy that happened," He says. I sigh. "Just come inside at least," My father says so I go inside as he follows. When I go to the kitchen to get a drink I see Colton and Cooper have icing all over their face. They are eating like they haven't ate in three years.
"You guys are pigs," I say. They look up from their cakes then look at each other then start eating again.
"You're just realizing that now?" Ember says. I laugh and go sit beside her.
"Happy birthday!" She says hugging me. I smile and hug her back. "We can go get ice cream later!" She says I smile.
"You just want to go because of that guy who works there," I say. She shrugs.
"Do you want ice cream or not?" She threatens. I put my hands up in surrender.
"Ok, ok," I say and smile.
*~*Most of the day was a blur. Casey, Jack and Jake came and we played football, and now I have a bruise on my knee. Ember and I did get our ice cream. I called Madden, and now me and Evie are going to her house to hang out for a bit.
