We're A Little Estranged

I stood as still as possible, clenching the skirt of my blue dress. It figured that the one time I actually wore a dress I was probably going to have to run for my life.

I stared straight ahead as the visiting wolves took their time walking over to us. A large dark red wolf took the lead. It was hard to tell how exactly big it was from where I was standing but I could see that he was bigger than the rest. The red one was flanked by two slightly smaller light brown ones, a dark brown wolf stood in the middle, two large wolves stood behind the middle one, then one behind the middle wolf, and the last three trailed behind the group.

"Sadie!" A naked Jackson yelled as he ran up to me.

I of course blushed at just the sight of him. I hated that everyone else was used to naked people running around, and I was always flustered by it.

"What's going on?" I asked calmly. I was calm because I didn't feel like I was in danger. Maybe it was something that I earned from being part hunter, but I just knew I was going to be fine.

"I'm not sure," Jackson answered with his eyebrows scrunched together.

"I don't think that they're here to cause trouble," I said quietly since they were almost upon us.

"How do you know?"

I just shrugged. I had no valid answer to give him.

"Take a deep breath Jackson," Ethan spoke quickly as he walked up to us, he too being completely naked. I of course snuck a little peak before I averted my eyes.

Jackson complied and then dropped his head, "No, no, hell no!"

I had no time to ask what was going on before the group of wolves were right in front of us. They didn't make any move to attack and there was no growling. They just sat there, staring us down.

"Enough with the theatrics," Jackson sighed, "Just shift."

Within seconds, the wolf in the middle shifted into a very thin, very nude woman. I figured that she was most likely younger than me, probably eighteen or so. She had long brown hair that she positioned perfectly over her breasts, while the large wolf that lead the group sat in front of her covering the rest. She had icy blue, almost gray eyes that looked amazing against her tanned skin.

"Who is that?" I whispered to Jackson. All the wolves around us had relaxed and Ethan had a small smile on his face that made me think there was an inside story behind this girl. Jackson looked too uncomfortable and Ethan seemed to be enjoying it way more than he should.

"That's my sister, Brinley."

"What? I didn't even know you had a sister," I said. Jackson had never mentioned that he had a sister, actually no one had ever mentioned it and now she pops up out of the blue. I guess she did look like him and I could also see a little bit of Paul in her too.

"We're a little estranged," Jackson answered with his eyes still glued to the girl.

Brinley placed her hands on her hips and narrowed her eyes at Jackson, "Only because you are so stubborn!" Her voice came out so small, but so strong. I found myself admiring her; I mean she was standing there completely naked and arguing without anyone else's help, which was pretty impressive.

"Are you kidding me?" Jackson yelled.

Ethan stepped forward and placed a hand on Jackson's shoulder, "What my dear friend is failing to mention is that his sister is mated to the guy he hated when we were all in school."

"Shut up!" Jackson growled, shrugging his hand away, but Ethan wasn't fazed.

"No, let him tell the story so your little friend will know how mature you are," Brinley spoke up.
