"How did you get out?" Topher asked when they sat in the living room together. Hayden had changed out of her dress and into her sweatshirt and pajama shorts.
"He didn't try to grab me or anything. I think he followed me out but he didn't find me."
"What all happened there?"
"It was honestly pretty good. I was fed well and he wasn't so evil like he seemed when you were there. He was... compassionate. And he saved my life."
"He saved your life?"
"This?" She said, holding up her leg and revealing the stitches. "I tried to escape and I was attacked by wolves. I was losing blood really quickly and he came and saved me. He took me back and stitched it up for me."
Topher stayed quiet for a while. He knew why Hayden had a dress on when she got back. Hayden was honestly a little shocked at how George didn't grab her arm or try to touch her. He seemed to let her go, but she knew he was behind her with Dani Louise.
"I'm really tired, so I'm going to bed. Goodnight, love." Hayden got up and kissed Topher's forehead. He mumbled a 'goodnight' before she went in her room and shut the door.
As soon as she was out of sight from Topher, she ran to the mirror and picked it up.
"Show me George." The mirror's image swirled, and she saw George. He was in the lounge, a fire burning in its pit. He was staring at the flame blankly. She could still see the faint red marks on the side of his face, and his arm was still wrapped.
She put the mirror face down, not wanting to look at it anymore and climbed in her own, warm, comfy bed. She fell asleep uneasily, but was glad to be home.

Hayden went into town the next day, and people stared. She had been gone for 2 weeks. She made the mistake of wearing shorts, and people kept asking about her stitches. She was going to take them out today.
She was entering the high school when somebody grabbed her hand harshly and spun her around, nearly giving her whiplash.
"Where the hell have you been, Joshua?" Daniel fumed. "Haven't seen you around. Who were you with?"
"It's none of your goddamn business. And if you want a sliver of my respect you're gonna have to listen go my brother when he says things and stop hurting me."
"I'll stop hurting you, but it's not my fault your brother a mental baby."
"He's not fucking mental! And if you really want to know where I've been, I was kidnapped by a beast trying to save Topher."
Daniel scoffed, and Hayden rolled her eyes. "You're just as mental ad he is."
Hayden had enough. She threw a fist to his eye and kicked him in the nads. "I swear to God I'll kill you if you keep saying he's mental. You have no fucking clue how shaken up I am about being there because I was taken captive by him. I'll show you, if your cold heart oh so desires."
Daniel was doubled over, holding his nads and his eye at the same time. Hayden pulled the mirror out of her bag and held it up.
"Show me George." The mirror swirled as usual and showed George in his lounge again, writing something. Hayden saw he had unwrapped his arm, exposing the raw, bloody flesh. Daniels eyes widened.
Daniels friends had gathered from hidden places around the entrance of the hospital and was watching. Daniel suddenly took the mirror and ran. Hayden gasped and sprinted to chase him.
She jumped on his back, causing him to fall over. She put a foot on the inside of his shoulder and turned him on his back. She sat on top of him with a knee in his gut, and held his throat. His friends were too stunned to do anything.
"Give me the fucking mirror back."
"No," Daniel choked. His friend took the mirror from his hand and ran off, before taking over. He pried Hayden's strong hands off his neck and rolled them over, so she was beneath him. He closed his hands around her neck and got up, picking her up along with him.
"You and your baby brother are gonna pay," he seethed. Meanwhile, his friends had captured Topher from the bakery and brought him over. They carried them over to a cellar in the ground and threw both of them down there. By now, every hunter, blacksmith, or any man who thought Topher was just lying, regardless of liking Hayden or not, were standing around. They barricaded the front of the cellar, meaning they would never get out.
"Let's go kill this beast!" Daniel shouted. The men cheered and they started walking in the direction of Friar Park.
Hayden and Topher pounded on the door, hoping somebody would let them out. Nobody was around the cellar, and couldn't hear a thing.
"Hayden! Hayden!" Topher called as Hayden was figuring out how to get out. She turned and saw him holding two axes.
"Perfect." He brought them over and she took one. There was a metal bar across the locks, and very little space for them to get through.
They started chopping on the wooden doors, and soon they could just pull the pieces apart. There was just enough room they they could both get out. Topher got out first and helped Hayden out. They ran back to their house and Hayden went straight for the barn.
"Hayden, what are you doing?"
"I'm going to save him. George is gonna be killed."
"George?"
"The Beast!" She strapped the saddle on Thunderbird and attached the reins. She got up and went over to Topher.
"I'll be alright, Topher. You gotta believe that."
Topher sighed, and nodded. "Good luck," he said. With that he gave Hayden's cloak up to her and she wrapped it around her shoulders, and rode off, following the mob of people going to kill George.Wee bit shorter... surry
