'Beep'
'Beep'
'Beep!'

I groaned as I rolled around in my bed to reach the annoying alarm's off button.

I let out my best big yawn in hopes of waking me up farther.

I instantly rolled out of bed when I saw the time.

1:00 pm

Work was in two hours! Where was Sariel? How did Sariel sleep over if I didn't even set a room for him?

I told myself as soon as I did my morning routine I would figure out what Sariel did last night.

👼👼👼

"Get your feet off!" I hollered displeased at the sight of a man sleeping on my couch with his shoes on and on top of my couch pillows.

Sariel jolted awake at my sudden loud angry voice at him.

"Holy spaghetti!" he fell off the couch with a loud thump. "What's your problem?"

"My problem is your dirty shoes are on my white pillows! How are you getting comfortable when you're only a guest?" I pointed at the now dirt stained pillows.

"I'm your roommate-"

I cut off his invalid point, "if you were my roommate how is it that you're sleeping on the couch then? You better respect my things if you're waiting for me to clean out the rest of James' things out of his room" I threatened.

"Oui, sorry" he exaggerated.

I rolled up a nearby newspaper and hit the top of his head with it.

"Ouch!"

"Don't get sarcastic with me!" I retorted.

"Jeez! Someone needs to get l-"

I slapped him once again in the head.

"What I need is my coffee! And since you're on my bad side and unofficially my roommate, you better make it up to me by making or buying coffee" I answered sharply. "I'm going to change and there better be coffee, ya hear?!" I dropped my newspaper and pointed at his scrunched up nose.

"Yes, ma'am" he saluted sarcastically again.

👼👼👼

When I visited my kitchen, Sariel was there waiting for me with a smile and two paper coffee cups in hand. He was already cleaned up with clean clothes and wet hair.

Was the myth, about women taking long to get ready, really true?

I eyed him as I took a sip of my heavenly smelling coffee.

"Where'd you get the clothes?" I asked.

"I went back home and changed" he shrugged.

He went to heaven and came back?
.
.
.
I must've really taken a long time to change and look presentable.

"So what are you going to teach me today?" I asked.

"How about... how to detect evil souls?" he grinned at the idea.

"Right now or...?" I didn't know how teaching me to be a professional angel would fit into my schedule of beauty sleep and working.

"Well I'll give you a few pointers instead of putting you through the whole routine. I know yesterday's early dismissal isn't an everyday thing for you"

I nodded, agreeing with his comment.

"So before encountering a dark soul... You get the chills, the negative vibes, and the sense that someone is watching you" he noted professionally.
