"I can't believe you almost told him that you're Ladybug!" Tikki squealed.
"I know, I know, that would've been terrible." I thought back to my conversation with Cat Noir and groaned. "He'd attack me! That would not be good...AT ALL! I'm in love with Adrien for goodness sakes."
"I'm glad you reminded us all, because we couldn't tell." Tikki rolled her eyes.
"I'm being serious, Tikki. This is exactly why we can't know who the other is. It would just complicate things." I facepalmed. "He really does like Ladybug. I feel bad now, I always treat his feelings as a joke." I gasped. What if Adrien did that to me? If I confessed my feelings for him and he laughed it off I'd just die!
"I'm such a heartless jerk!" I slammed my face down on my pillow.
"Don't say that Marinette. You're a good person at heart just a bit clueless." Tikki rubbed my cheek.
Was that comment supposed to make me feel better?
"I don't know what's wrong with me lately. I guess it's all the lying I've had to do. It's getting ridiculous." I hated hiding the truth especially from Alya. She's obsessed with Ladybug afterall, she'd be shocked to know she'd been obsessed with her best friend this whole time. Cat Noir is the best partner a ladybug could ask for but I lie to him too. Secret mission my butt! I just dont want to hurt my ankle anymore than necessary. Then he asks Marinette for details! I just can't catch a break.
"Maybe watching some T.V. will take your mind off things." Tikki turned on the television. To say the least it didn't help; at all!
"Cat Noir is trying to defeat the latest Akumatized villain with no luck." The male reporter stated showing a close up of Cat face down on the concrete.
"The newest villain who goes by the name of Trapper, is tearing up the city. Here's the latest footage now." She showed a clip of a guy with locks and chains strapped to his chest.
"Ladybug, come out come out wherever you are!" He threw a chain and captured an innocent civilian. "Better come quick before something bad happens."
"Tikki!" I shouted.
"But your ankle!" She scolded.
"Spots on!" I transformed. My body covered head to toe in red with black spots.
"It's probably best to stay off my foot for as long as possible." I used my yo-yo to swing from one building to the next heading towards the Eiffel Tower where Trapper was holding people hostage. I looked around for Cat Noir who was chained up with a bunch of people.
"You called?" I landed in front of the villain wincing a little because I forgot about my ankle.
"Oh Ladybug I'm so glad you're here!" The guy hummed, he seemed to be enjoying himself. "I'm here to make you an offer you just won't be able to refuse!"
"And that would be?" I tilted my head to one side. I just wanted this conversation to be over so I could go home.
"Well I want you of course!" His face contorted in anger. "I'll let all these people go including your cute furry sidekick-"
"Hey!" Cat Noir kicked his legs in frustration.
"If you let me have you in return." Trapper finished.
"And if I refuse?" I scanned his body looking for where the Akuma was hiding. The only thing I could see was the ring he was wearing but that didn't seem like that was it. His name was Trapper so he liked to trap things?...maybe there is something in his pocket?
"If you refuse? I guess I'll have to tighten the chains that are holding these folks until they can't breathe any longer." He snarled.
"Whoa whoa whoa hold on a minute. You're going to kill them? Hawk Moth has never tried something like this before he's not THAT evil!" I spouted surprised. Usually Hawk Moth just wanted our miraculouses he didn't want people to die in the process!
"Well maybe he doesn't know what I'm planning. He picked the wrong guy to pump power into." Trapper let out a maniacal laugh.
I looked over to the people all staring at me with frightened doe eyes. Well, everyone except Cat Noir who was glaring at me like to tell me 'don't you dare go with him'. It was clear that this guy was absolutely nuts and would go through with his plan. I sighed and dropped my yo-yo.
"Fine, let them free and I'll go with you." I gritted my teeth with frustration.
"Excellent." Trapper hissed and that's when my entire world went black.
