new roommate

He waves his hand in front of my face as I shake my head to clear my thoughts.

"Sorry." I nervously laugh.

"It's fine. Do I know you?" He asks.

"No. You don't."

"I guess you remind me of someone."

"Yea I guess so." He welcomes me inside. "Wow." I whisper to myself as I walk in.

"Let me show you your room."" He takes me to my room as I repeatedly pinch myself feeling like I'm in a dream. "Do you like it?"

"I love it."

"Well you can go and get the rest of your things and bring them up here." My smile drops as he walks out.

"What a gentleman." I say to myself going to get my things. I start to take some things out of the boxes when he comes into my room.

"I would love to learn more about you but I have a job. I have some business I need to handle. Don't touch anything that didn't come from that filthy apartment. Don't break anything or I'll have your ass out of here by tonight. Got it?" He looks right at me. I feel like he's staring into my soul.

"Yes dad." I say sarcastically.

"Save the jokes for someone else." He walks out. I roll my eyes and keep unpacking. When I hear the door close I sigh and start dancing. I'm staying in a beautiful house in a neighborhood I haven't even heard of. I call my uncle and he answers on the third ring.

"Hey Ash. How's everything going?" He almost yells.

"It's going great but my new roommate is kind of an ass. Please stop yelling."

"Sorry. I know he's a handful but at least you have somewhere to stay."

"Yep that's the good thing about all of this."

"So besides the fact that you think he's an ass, how do you feel about him?"

"He's okay."

"Well you two will be just fine."

"You didn't tell me he was hot."

"What?"

"He's smoking. I remember the first time I saw him at the café."

"Don't even think about it."

"What? You said it yourself, I need to get back out there."

"Not with him. You can't date him."

"Why not is he married?" I laugh.

"I'm serious if I find out you're flirting with or trying to date him it's over Ashley."

"But-"

"I'm giving you a place to stay not someone to sleep with."

"Fine!"

"Love you. I gotta go."

"Yea bye." I hang up and put my phone on the nightstand. "I'm giving you a place to stay not someone to sleep with." I mock him. I never wanted to date the hot guy from the café anyway.

I'm pretty much done unpacking when my stomach begins to growl. I go downstairs to the kitchen to find something to eat.

"Boneless wings or pizza? Or even better both?" I ask myself.

"Or neither." The guy who I must identify as the hot guy from the café says. I jump at the sound of his voice.

"Where did you come from?"
