Draco and Dianna walked through the Slytherin hallway, down to the Quidditch field. 'My father would have to hear about it' Dianna quoted what the blonde wizard told Hermione earlier. Draco shrugged. 'I know your father, Draco. I hope you knew that, because he and I worked on a very important quest Lord sent us on.' Dianna explained. 'You know my father?!' Draco asked. Dianna nodded. 'Lucius is like a father to me, too. He said we'd bond with you. I told him we probably won't any he said you and I are very much alike, so I sort of believed him. He turned out right.' they got on the staircase and waited for it to hit ground so they could get off. 'Well, I guess he did...' Draco's cheeks turned bright red, so he looked away. 'So that's why he stopped talking to me about Pansy...' Draco murmured. 'Pardon?' Dianna asked, thinking he'd told her something. 'No, nothing.' he said. 'Who's Pansy?' 'No one.' Draco told her. As they exited the school building and got out to the Quidditch Pitch, everyone was gathering out there. Not everyone was there yet, though. Draco sighed in relief - he wasn't late. In about five more minutes, everyone was already settled and had their Nimbuses in hand. Everyone, except for Dianna. She still didn't know quite what Quidditch was supposed to be, so she just kept quiet. 'And you, young lady. Where are your clothes and broom?' Madame Hooch asked. 'I uh... I don't have the clothes or the broom.' Dianna confessed. 'And why so?' the teacher looked into Dianna's cold eyes. 'She just joined us here at Hogwarts yesterday.' Draco explained. Madame Hooch nodded and scram to Neville: 'Neville, make yourself useful and go get some clothes for the girl. She looks a size... You know what, just take whichever size you find, we'll tighten or loosen the clothes while they're on her. As for the broom... Well, no broom - no game. Besides, by your look, I don't think you've ever played Quidditch before. And considering you probably don't even know what a Nimbus is, well, I think we need to see you try out. But you still have no broom.' Madame Hooch said harshly. Dianna just nodded. 'Wait! Madame Hooch, wait!' Tibby, the Slytherin house elf was running towards the teacher with a long box in its hands. 'This very heavy, but I promise Mister Malfoy to take it to girl!' Tibby breathed heavily, giving Dianna the box. 'Lucius? He gave you this?' Dianna asked Tibby. 'Incorrect, pretty girl, he gave you this.' Tibby pushed the heavy box in her hands. She opened it only to find a Nimbus 2011, just like Draco's. 'A 2011? This is the mightiest broom ever to have been made up until now! You're a newcomer, too, I wonder how you will fly on it.' Madame Hooch said. Dianna smiled wickedly: 'Look, your little attempts to get me down aren't working, Madame, so if you'll excuse me, my clothes are here and I need to change.' Dianna took the broom out of the box and walked with it towards Neville. He handed her her clothes and she took her wand out of her belt, only to swap clothes. She wasn't wearing her woolen skinny dress anymore, she was in a skinny pair of horse-rider's pants, a beige T-shirt and had long, brown leather boots on her feet. Her hair she tied in a side bun. 'Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some tryouts to do.' she said, walking past Madame Hooch. Draco smiled at the look of her. Everyone followed her to the Pitch. They were all wearing T-shirts in the cold weather, but non of them was actually cold. They all took a seat on the front rows and only Dianna and Hooch were left standing on the field. 'Now, could a volunteer, Draco Malfoy, come out and play against Dianna.' Madame Hooch said maliciously. 'But we're on the same team!' Draco sussed. Madame Hooch gave him a look and he walked to them. 'And now, Harry Potter, you're going to be on Dianna's team, while... Let's see... Ron Weasely, you will be on one team with Draco. Ron, you're still a keeper, so you go take your position. The other keeper will be... Dean Thomas? Come here, Dean. You're on Dianna's team. Okay, we just need our two keepers and Malfoy, you and Potter will be center chasers. We do not need anyone else on the tryout team. Okay, so, there are normally two teams of seven players each - three chasers, scoring with the quaffle, two beaters, equipped with two battons to hit the bludgers away from their teammates, one keep to protect those hoops over there and last, but not least - one seeker- to catch the golden snitch. Here, as you see, were are far from being seven, so the question you all must be asking yourselves is: why? Well, because our goal is to find out which position Dianna might be able to obtain if she ever gets on the team. Okay, Dianna, I hope you understood me, because I am not explaining again. Off you go.' Madame Hooch backed away from the field and left the students there. 'Hi, I'm Harry Potter.' Harry introduced himself to Dianna. 'I'm Dianna. We're supposed to be enemies, but the stupid teacher put us together on one team, so I guess we're friends for now. Here's the strategy - I'm going to seek the golden snitch, while also trying to get the bludgers away, whoever they are going to be. I'm going to be able to do that, so it won't be hard.' Dianna said. 'Believe me, catching the snitch is hard enough. Don't try two things at one time.' Harry proposed. 'Who said I will try two things? I'm also going to help keep the hoops. And then Hooch might be able to decide wether I'm good or not.' Dianna smiled wickedly and raised her eyebrow maliciously. Harry's eyes widened at the sight he was witnessing. She was very ambitious, but he wanted to see if she fought for her wanted positions. 'Alright, players, off into the air.' Hooch said. 'I've never flied of a broomstick before.' Dianna had that same raised-eyebrow look on her face while she walked slowly towards the teacher. 'Do I look like I care?' Hooch snapped. 'You should, because one little wrong move, and I'm going to make sure your fat arse gets kicked out of Hogwarts.' Dianna spat in the teacher's face. Hooch opened her mouth to say something, but she looked down at the young girl's hand and on it appeared the Death Mark, which immediately hid itself in a flash. Hooch closed her mouth. 'Be careful' she said, looking at her feet. Dianna twisted her head around, her thick side fishbone braid bouncing up and down on her shoulder. She walked over to Harry. 'How do I fly with this?' she asked him. 'You just straddle it and it takes off, it's connected to your mind, so it's up to you where you need to turn. I hope you're not nervous. I was really nervous the first time I did it.' Harry explained. Dianna laughed. 'Why? It's not like I'm about to have sex with the broom, right? Why should I be nervous.' Dianna mounted her Nimbus and it instantly rose into the sky. She looked pretty calm for someone who was just experiencing their first broom-flight. As the teacher blew into her whistle and made a piercing sound with it, Dianna rode her Nimbus along the other players, hitting everyone getting into her way with her two battons, then taking them in one hand and flying around throwing the quaffle from left to right. She flew so naturally, like it wasn't by far her first time. Draco was too busy following her with his curious grey eyes, he never noticed the golden snitch appearing in the middle of the pitch. Dianna saw it, though. The possible feelings she had towards Draco weren't any way near to getting in the way of her and her concentration, so after she scored several points for her team, she flew straight towards the snitch. The crowd of fellow-players and Madame Hooch scram in Draco's way, until he finally saw the snitch. Too late, though. Dianna had already caught it and so her team won the game. She graciously set feet to the ground, getting off of her broom, taking it in her hand, walking towards the teacher. She placed the snitch in Madame Hooch's hand and turned around, walking towards a stunned-looking Draco. Harry caught up to her. 'What you did there was huge! Are you sure you've never flied a Nimbus before?' he asked, still in shock. 'Back off, Potter. She's out of your league.' Draco spat. Harry stepped back. Draco pulled Dianna gently towards him, wrapping his arm around her. 'She's a pure-blood, unlike you, and she isn't your friend.' Draco continued. 'Alright, Mr. Malfoy, that's enough. Okay, Miss Rubin, I'm quite impressed by your play there. I don't really know which position to put you on. For now I'll let you be a chaser, since you move fastly through everyone. Go get some rest for now, the hours left you must have an extra dose of concentration. Thursday we start training. I want you twice as fast a what you were today.' Madame Hooch told Dianna and walked away, letting the students run off. 'Faster than I was today? Is she bonkers?!' Dianna scram. Draco laughed. 'Calm yourself down, beautiful.' he said as they walked off. At the hear of that, Dianna stopped. A smile immediately formed on her face. 'What did you call me?' the corners of her mouth twirled happily. Draco froze a few steps ahead of her, his cheeks turning bright red. He didn't dare turning around to her. 'Uh... Nothing.' he mumbled out. 'You called me beautiful.' she tossed her Nimbus on the ground, crossing her arms in front of her, walking towards the white-blonde-haired wizard. Draco looked at his feet. 'Don't ignore me!' she giggled. 'Uh... I... Okay, fine. I did. Alright, I called you beautiful. But only, because I believe it's true. I believe that every other girl in this school would want to have your looks and character.' Draco sighed and opened his eyes, after keeping them closed during his whole little speech. 'Aw, thank you, Draco. You continue impressing me more and more. Your father told me he had for a son a pretty rude and mean boy, chasing after his ambitions and not caring about anything or anyone getting in his way. Well I think that you're a very caring young man.' she went to pick her Nimbus up and they walked towards the Slytherin dormitory together. 'Draco, I'm taking a hot shower, it was seriously cold outside.' Dianna said, walking into the bathroom.
Hiya, this is chapter 5. Whoo, four chapters in one day. Not bad, heh? I'm writing the new ones right now. I'm a little short on ideas how to make Draco and Dianna hook up, so anyone? Give me some ideas, please. <3
