Honey and lavender
That's almost literally what I smelled when I entered the interior of my new apartment. It's a weird combination, but the scents were there and that was that. I stepped inside, the dark wooden glossed up floor faintly showing my reflection beneath my feet.
I plopped two boxes against the pale beige wall and stuffed my nimble fingers barely into my pockets before aimlessly wandering off. It opened up into a short corridor which divided off into 2 more corridors that were more opened up.
Shelves of glass built into the walls and designer ceiling fans placed onto the vaulted baldachin made the apartment look more intimate.
Two men that I found on the internet who had a moving company had balanced two boxes in each hand through the door and I could see how long they've had this unordinary enterprise.
"Ma'am, erm, where do we place these?" I shifted on my feet and pointed towards the floor where the two boxes I had were neatly sat against the wall. "Easy." One murmured, hauling a box on top of the other. That equaled 10 boxes and I can imagine maybe 3 more needed to be unloaded.
"You can get the last of the boxes and we'll go ahead and bring in the furniture, cool?" the younger one insisted, brushing back his sweaty black hair. "Sure." I cleared my throat, almost melting into his side as I drifted past him. He was a hottie with intensifying hazel eyes that I could look into all day.
I made it down the stairs of the condos and out to the big white moving truck. Two more boxes were tucked inside and I quickly grabbed them and made them snug in between my side and my forearm. They weren't quite heavy, but still slippery against my sweatshirt clad arms. I pushed open the door with my hip and trekked up the stairs to my apartment.
The boxes were becoming slippery so I began to adjust them into a more comfortable position, my eyes focused on my attempt.
They were sliding, making me nervous, but fortunately I could feel myself near the apartment door, or so I thought because in the next instant second, I felt myself collide with the wall, and the boxes and myself both crashed to the ground with a painful thud.
My eyes were pinched shut with an aching sensation flushing through my numb body. I groaned, opening my eyes to see a blurry figure hovering over me. My vision recovered and now I could see that it was a dimple clad boy with ruffled brown hair, his dark green eyes flashing with amusement.
"You know, I bumped into this wall when I first moved in as well." He chuckled, grabbing my hand and pulling me up. "Really?" I murmured, rubbing my forehead.
"No." He droned, wholeheartedly. I laughed and he picked up my boxes and walked me to my door.
"See ya." He reciprocated, brushing his broad shoulder against mine as he traipsed towards his apartment.
"Bye." I almost melted then and there at his politeness. I opened the door and slid the boxes inside, the cool air gathering around me. The guys were gone probably to get the furniture and I just sat on the floor, the bay windows wide open in need of some curtains.
I lied out on my back and shut my eyes...falling asleep.

I opened my eyes, finding myself on the carpeted floor of the empty living room. All my furniture was packed inside, a note stuck to the door frame.
I hauled myself up, my back aching from the hard floor.
We didn't want to interrupt your rest. Your furniture is in the apartment, obviously, don't worry about paying, we know who you are
Was written messily on a white business post card. I took it off and sat it on the bar of the kitchenette to dispose of later.
My phone buzzed in the back of my jeans, causing me to jump. I caught my breath, fiddling my hands around before the cool metal touched my hand and I pulled it out.
Boyfriend: 30 mins bb, see ya
For some odd reason, a smile spread across my face and I played with my fingers as I shoved my phone back into my pocket but- HOLY SHIT I HAVE 30 MINUTES TO GET READY.
I dashed through the corridor in search of the smaller box labeled "clothes". Once in my sight, I pushed everything else out the way and ripped open the box roughly, pulling out clothes and scattering them else where before choosing upon a tope colored peplum top and black jeans that rose just above my ankles.
I had a mere 25 minutes left before he got here and I didn't have time to shower so I gracefully undressed myself and ran 4 coats of deodorant under my underarms.
Perfume was spritzed onto my chest and makeup was lightly brushed onto my face. Earrings pushed into my ears, rings clad around my bony fingers, 2 necklaces placed around my neck and I grabbed my black wedges and slipped them on, spraying my hair with heat protectant before curling it into thick ringlets.
I heard some faint knocks on my door and secretly wondered how Elton had even gotten my address. Nervous sighs fell past my over licked lips and I clasped the door knob before pulling it open.
And there he was, not Elton, but the green eyed boy from a few hours ago.
He stood there with a dimpled smile on his face, brown locks of hair mussed around his head handsomely. But apparently I had a boyfriend, so I stopped studying him and parted my lips to speak. "Hello."
"Hi, how's your head?" He intriguingly placed his hand on my head and felt around for any knots or bruises.
"I'm fine." I coughed inwardly, smiling like a dopey little girl who knows of nothing. "Harry." He finally introduced himself, thrusting his large hand covered in silver and gold rings towards me.
I ignored his hand and smiled slightly.
"I'm Stephanie and my boyfriend is on his way to get me, to go on a date...I think. He should be here in a few minutes." I ranted, my eyes widened at my sudden outburst. I could hear his loud hearty laughter erupt into the corridor, and it was almost music to my ears.
I almost questioned what he found so humorous, but a tall skinny boy I think was my boyfriend, appeared behind Harry.
"Erm." He cleared his throat, and Harry jumped at the sound of his voice, then turned. "Hi, you must be.. uh, her boyfriend." He chuckled, hooking his thumb behind him to point towards me.
"Yeah, she's my girlfriend, and we gotta go if we want to get those reserved seats that I payed a bunch on. Thanks for keeping her company though." He snapped, grabbing the nape of my neck and pulling me into smother me in kisses, but I flicked my head away so that his lips met my cheek bone instead of my mouth because he was being utterly rude to this guy.
"C'mon stephanie, give me a kiss." He disputed, bending down to kiss me again and this time I let him, feeling his soft lips push against mine and leave the second they came. Harry was still awkwardly watching.
"Bye Stephanie." He murmured, a weak smile on his face as he placed his hand on my shoulder for a while before walking off.
"Weird, isn't he?" Elton laughed, grabbing me by the waist and pulling me outside towards his car.
I ignored him, and let him drag me.
