Final exams were over, that means the semester is over, which means, I am finally free to sleep. Exams being over made me feel much more relaxed, not to mention, the two weeks off from school was going to be a blast. All I wanted to do was go home and sleep, but the boys had other plans.

Asher had invited us all to his penthouse where he had plenty of food and movies for us to binge eat and binge watch. I decided I'd stop by but I wouldn't stay long. Mom had to talk to me about something and then I would probably take a nap because there's nothing else to do. No more stressing about projects or tests.

Asher looked really excited as he cleared his throat, "Have any of you guys been skiing?"

I shake my head, "No."

Sophie shakes her head too, "Never."

"Well every winter break, the guys and I tend to go to my family's cabin in Aspen and we'd like for you guys to come too."

Sophie shakes her head, "No can do, my mom has bought tickets to Maine to visit my family for the holidays. We leave tomorrow."

They all look at me, "Um I'd have to talk to my mom, but possibly."

"And don't worry about plane fare, we're taking my private jet," Asher tells me.

"Of course you have a private jet," I mutter, "But um I can't stay. My mom wanted to talk to me about something so I'm going to head home, but I'll talk to her about it."

"I'll walk with you," Alec says, leading the way. He holds the elevator as I say bye to everyone, including Sophie, because she is leaving tomorrow. When I enter the elevator, we stand in silence, making me yawn, "Tired?"

I shrug, "I guess."

"Did you sleep?"

"Like two hours, I was busy studying for English."

He smirks, "It was easy."

"I know but it was still difficult to read all those passages," I admit, making him laugh. We don't say anything else for the rest of the ride down, when we finally made it downstairs, he walked me to my car. The thing with Alec is, he doesn't talk much, and if he does, it's one word sentences. But the only reason why he'd do this is because he's scared that I'll be attacked on my way to the car.

He doesn't say anything but nods and walks back in. I get in my car and am off home. When I arrive, my mom is sitting on the couch watching Jane the Virgin. I give her a hug and sit down. I don't really know if I want to ask her right away or if she wants to talk but she makes the decision for me.

"We're going to Florida for this vacation," she tells me with a smile.

"Mom...I really don't want to," I say, slowly.

"Look sweetie, I think it'd be nice to spend some time away from this town and with family."

"But-"

"Come on honey, don't you want to see Vanessa again?"

"Didn't you say she was a bad influence?"

She shrugs, "She is but I know she'd be the only reason you'd ever really go."

"Mom," I say, holding her hand, "I really don't want to spend my vacation in Florida."
