Let me tell you, prom after parties are no joke, and I sure felt it the next morning. It's been a while since I've had a hangover but last night was a special night; it was prom, you only experience it once, unless you're Sarah, then you experience it four times. But regardless, at least it wasn't a blur. Getting up out of bed was a pain.
When I awoke, it was around noon and I was sprawled out on the bed...only it wasn't mine. Last night when we came in, Sophie was wasted so we gave her my room and I fell asleep in Asher's room just in case Alec was getting lucky in his. But nothing happened, not that I thought anything would but it makes me feel good that I was right.
I snuck into my room but Sophie was already up, probably taking every Advil we had. I wasn't sure what to wear so I kept it as simple as possible. I put on a gray t-shirt, light blue ripped skinny jeans, a red and black plaid shirt but I tie it around my waist, and I top the look off with white hi-top converse. I simply put my hair in a ponytail and head out. As I'm heading towards the stairs, I pass by Alec's room and notice the door is a bit open.
Okay the rational side of me said don't peek but when have I ever made a rational decision? So I simply peeked in, hoping I don't catch anyone naked, but instead see something strange. Alec's room is completely untouched, his bed is made and there isn't clothes scattered everywhere like it usually is. Of course I realize he might've slept at Kiera's place since she's alone but she doesn't like anyone going over there since she lives alone.
I know I probably should've talked to everyone else but I have a small hangover so I'm not exactly rationally thinking. I dial Kiera's number, patiently waiting for her to answer, after many rings her voice comes over the phone, "Hello?"
"Hey Kiera, it's Evie," I tell her and I hear her say something to someone before speaking again.
"Hey Evie, how was prom?"
"It was great! How was your after prom?" I ask, pretending to be interested in gossip or juicy details.
"Pretty uneventful, Alec didn't want to have sex so I dropped him off home," she lets me know.
"Really?"
"Yeah...why?"
"Well it's just Alec's room here in the penthouse looks like it's been untouched..."
"Not the penthouse!" She laughs, "The other place."\
"What other place?"
"The one near Park Haven, where you had your accident!" She tells me and I let out a forced laugh.
"Oh yeah that place! Okay well if you see him just let him know we're looking for him."
"Will do, bye," Kiera tells me before hanging up. Okay something definitely was fishy about that. I never told Kiera I was in an accident and there's no proof that I actually was; no police report and Asher replaced my car. After telling the guys what happened with my conversation, the story got even fishier. They didn't even have HQ when they knew Kiera, they got it shortly after they stopped being friends with her so there's no way Kiera could've known about it or dropped Alec off there, unless he told her too but I doubt he'd do that.
So we all decide the best idea would be to go to HQ and check. We go with two cars, Beau, Nolan and Sophie with one, Asher and I in the other. I would've thought last night would've strained or made our relationship weird but it's almost as if it never happened, we're just talking and joking like we always did. This worries me a little; I mean I'm glad I didn't hurt him but I don't think he's dealing with it and it could affect him in the long run but he doesn't want to talk about.
