Typically for New Year's eve, Sophie and I would stay at my house, have a movie marathon until nearly midnight, then watch the ball drop, drink some champagne and then continue the movie marathon. But this whole year was different and Asher had bought us tickets to New York to watch the ball drop in person. Mom was in Florida and dad wasn't in my life so I could go but Sophie couldn't. So it was just the four bad boys and I heading to New York.

New York wasn't terrible. I almost got mugged by a person on the street but when he saw who I was with, he quickly backed off. We explored a lot of New York, we went to the Statue of Liberty, went to Brooklyn, went to the zoo, and even went to the beach even though it was too cold to swim, it was nice to just see it.

Today there weren't much plans, just go tonight to Times Square and watch the ball drop. But then I found out the only reason we didn't make any plans for today was because Beau, Nolan, and Asher were going to do some big deal with some people so I wasn't invited to that, but on top of that, Alec wasn't either. Since his wrist was still a bit sore and sprained, they weren't letting him tag along, leaving him on "babysitting" duty, which neither of us were too happy about it.

"You know I don't need a babysitter," I tell Alec as we walk down to the shops of New York. I need some new clothes and also a nice bath bomb. I probably wasn't going to use it today since there's a huge New Year's party being thrown that Asher wants us to go to but I do need a new outfit because I didn't bring party clothes, I brought keep-me-warm-in-the-cold clothes. Alec looked like he'd rather shoot himself.

Alec scoffs and smirks, "Right and if someone tried to mug you again, what would you do? Annoy them away?"

I roll my eyes. Ever since Alec sprained his wrist, which was completely his fault, he's been acting like a little bitch. I did tell him not to ski down that slope and he didn't listen so I don't know why he's taking it out on me. But because I get why he's pissed, I won't go off on him, unless he really pisses me off. Right now, I think we'll be okay.

I walk into a new store that recently opened called 'Fab Style' which I absolutely adore. They have popular, hip clothes for a good, decent price. The store is pretty small so it didn't take me long to find an outfit but Alec was bored out of his mind. Technically, he didn't have to follow me in here, I could've easily picked an outfit and met him somewhere but he takes his bodyguard duty way too seriously.

"Come here," I tell him, grabbing his arm and dragging him to the fitting room, "Stay here and tell me which outfit looks cuter okay?"

He sighs but nods, "Fine, maybe it'll go faster."

I don't respond and instead just close the door and begin taking off the current outfit, which consists of a striped long sleeve shirt, jeans, and my black lace boots. The first outfit is pretty cute, it's a pink and black button up dress that goes to my knees and you wear a black jacket with it. Alec raises his eyebrows when he sees the outfit.

"This is cute?" He asks.

I shrug, "Pretty cute."

"If you like it that much..."

I sigh but force a smile, "Well since you hate it so much."

I shut the door again, trying on the second outfit. It's a black dress that's way too short but it hugs my curves pretty well. Alec tells me I look like a slut. Its times like these that make me miss shopping with Sophie.

The last outfit I have is a pink spaghetti strapped shirt that is ruffled in the front and low in the back. I pair it with black skinny jeans that are ripped at the knee, and black pumps that are on sale and super comfy to walk in. Alec finally approves.
