Chp. 21 Another Day

Taehyung's POV

Manager hyung: what do you mean, "Can I go out with my friend tomorrow"?!?!?! We have a schedule to follow and many events coming up!!!

"But, hyung, please.. I made plans with them already and I've told them that I'd meet up with them this afternoon...*

Manager hyung: yah, if this is how you're going to train to be an idol, then leave the group, arasso?????

As soon as he left, I sighed and slumped in my chair. Are all humans THIS heartless????? I sat there as the other members gathered around me.

Jhope: V, it's ok, just cancel the date. I'm sure she'll understand.

Jin: just text her and tell her that something came up.

"Really?????? Do you think she will just let it off???? What if she'll hate me?? What if she doesn't talk to me anymore????"

Jimin: I'm sure it'll be fine. Your career is t stake right now and you need to tell her ASAP.

I sighed and ruffled my hair. They're right... I have to tell her at some point.. Eventually.. Maybe I shouldn't text her? Maybe I should call her. It always work out in those boxes with the moving screen (an alien's view of a TV XD). I stood up and headed out the door. "I'll be right back!"

SooYoon's POV

"Argghhhhhh!!! I swear, I can NOT physics right now!" I slammed my textbook shut and rubbed my hair in frustration. Exams are close, I haven't finished my anatomy project yet, and my dad is more worried about "aliens" that supposedly "exist". Can this get any worse??, I thought to myself.

I rolled to my side and propped myself up on my elbow as I scroll through my phone. As if it were a coincidence, the device lights up and starts to blast music and Tae's face pops up. Why would he be calling me at his hour?

"Hello??"

Taehyung: Hey Sooyoon~ What's up??

"Dying and suffering through school work, why?"

Taehyung: Oh, it's nothing... I just wanted to call you and let you know that we have to postpone the picnic... I thought manager hyung would let me hang out for just a little bit, but I got scolded instead, haha....

My heart drops. "O-oh.. I'm sorry about that.. Maybe next time, huh?" If there will even be a next time...

Taehyung: For sure. I promise!! I gotta head back to practice now, I'll see you tomorrow!

And with that, he hangs up. Taehyung, don't make a promise that you can't keep... I sigh and toss my phone aside. The one thing that I was looking forward to... It's ok, there's always another day..

Author's POV

Back on V's planet, 6 beings were summoned to the General's office. It's been quite a while since the General sent Virgilio on a test drive of the newest spacecraft model and they haven't heard a single word back.

General: Nuri, because Virgilio has not reported back to us yet, I will send the remaining 6 of you to go and find him. The craft is still intact with our networks, but the connection will fade in a matter of time.
