Chp. 36 A Fallen Kingdom

Sooyoon's POV

By the time we walked home, it was already super late. I doubt that the guys are still awake. I searched in my bag for the house keys but remembered that I left them on my desk in the morning. "Well, crap.. I don't want to wake the others up.." I sighed.

Taehyung: Well, you're gonna have to anyways. You're not gonna climb up to your bedroom window, are you??

He smiles at me jokingly and I giggled. "Watch me," I said as I stuck my tongue out at him.

Taehyung: I'll catch you if you fall... for me.

I laughed and rang the door bell. "That was so bad, and I hope you acknowledge that your puns and pickup lines are terrible." He chuckles and the door opens, revealing a tired Jabari.

Jabari: You're home extra late. What the hell happened to you??

"Ah, it's nothing.. Some kid tripped and some of their drink got on me," I replied, smiling sheepishly.

Jabari: That sounds like bull shit if you ask me. Was it Suli??

My eyes widened. "H-how did you..??"

Jabari: Lucky guess. I'll take her from here.

Jabari slips Taehyung's jacket off and throws it at him while wrapping his arm around my shoulders and closing the door shut. "Hey, I didn't even get to say goodbye..," I pouted.

Jabari: Oh, boo hoo. You have a phone. Just text him goodnight.

"But it's not the sameeeee.." I groaned. He sighs and pats my head.

Jabari: Just go clean up, ok?? You're hair is stiffing up. It's gross.

I leaned against him and rubbed my head on his arm. "LOVE MEEEEEEEEE~~" I giggled. He stumbles and tries to push me away while laughing.

Jabari: Aish!!! Get off of me!!! So dirty!!!

Yurik: Can you guys shut up?? People are trying to sleep.

I laughed softly and hid behind Jabari. "Sorry~~~" I watched as Yurik walks back inside his room and closes the door shut. "I'm gonna go clean up now," I said to Jabari while walking to my room.

Jabari: It's about time.

I rolled my eyes with a smile and got everything I needed for a shower. I stride to the bathroom and locked the door behind me while putting my clothes on the counter. I turned the knob in the shower and waited for the water to warm up. I let the water run down from my head to my toes as I drift deeper into my thoughts. Thinking back to what Tae had said about Peniel.. Was he really that crazy?? I can't wrap my head around the fact that he could have been the one to abduct someone and leave them to freeze in a locked warehouse when it's snowing.. but with the personality he has.. the way he is so manipulative and cruel.. It made sense for him to be the one behind all of this. It all made sense. I had to tell someone.

Jabari's POV

"Love me" she says. How can one say it so easily.. the three worded sentence..?? If only she knew how I really felt. I flipped through the channels of the TV while curled up in a blanket. Why is it always so freaking cold in this house?? A loud beep rang from another room. I got up and looked around, trying to pin point where the oddly familiar sound was coming from.

BEEP

There it goes again. I started walking around and ended in front of the basement door. Now, in scary movies, the characters are stupid and go to figure out what the noise is or who it might be lurking downstairs in the shadows. Humans are stupid, but I am an exception. Why??? Because I am a badass alien. I turned the door knob and creaked the door open while stepping inside. This must be where Sooyoon's father does his research and stuff. I can't believe he collects all of this stuff. Where does he even find these??
