Chapter 30: The Broken Force (part 1)

**Hannah's POV**

When we got back to school this morning after the homecoming dance, people were talking all about what had happened. Some people even twisted the story and told their friends that they didn't pass out like everyone else. I laughed at those stories because I know that Chase, Amanda, Skylar, Bree, and Kaz were the only other conscious ones. Well them and Riker. I still can't believe Riker was Caleb for a whole month! Poor Bree...

"Señorita Conner. Answer question numero dos por favor." The Spanish teacher says. I notice that the whole class was looking at me, and I realize that I just totally zoned out in Spanish class.

"Um, uh," i look at number two on my paper, "¡mi Perro es pequeño!"

"Muy bien," she says smiling, "but next time I expect you to answer when I call on you the first time."

"Sorry." I mumbled looking back at my paper.

"Ah ah ah, lo siento." She corrects me. I nodded choosing not to fight. Chase and Amanda were quietly snickering at me, so I glared at them.

"Excuse my interruption," the vice principle says into the speaker, "but I would like the students Amanda Keysor, Bree Davenport, Skylar Davenport (Mr. davenport made Skylar under that name so nobody knew who she was), Kaz (last name), and Chase Davenport to come see me at my office please and thank you. Have a great day."

I look at Chase and Amanda confusingly. Are you guys in trouble? What did you do? The two of them shrug in response, they left class with their stuff. The rest of the day, Chase, Amanda, Skylar, Kaz, and Bree did not show up to any other classes...

"Oliver! We need to go home, now." I say to Oliver in the hallways after seventh hour.

"Yeah. I haven't seen them all day! Well actual since third hour, but you know what I mean."

"Oh man, what do you think happened to them? Maybe, maybe they just got into trouble for being conscious at the dance and they just had to do some work." I suggest clutching my backpack nervously.

"That might make sense, but there were no cameras that were working." Oliver replies walking, no, speed walking, to the penthouse.

"Or maybe they were!" I exclaim trying to keep up with Oliver's longer strides since I am shorter than him.

"Don't be ridiculous, they would've caught Riker using his powers too." Oliver argues stopping at a green light.

"I'm worried, Oliver. What if they got captured by Rodissiious and Riker? What are we supposed to do? Oh man, I should've taken Riker out last time too." I say speaking quickly and nervously.

"Hurry, we've got to call Mr. Davenport up." Oliver rushes us across the street.

"I wish at least one of us had super speed, but the ones who do have it are either kidnapped or doing some suspension thing. Or maybe they ditched school." I suggest.

"No way." Oliver disagrees, "Chase would never miss school."

"True." I agree. Oliver and I stopped at the tower to open the door. "Wait we forgot Elizabeth!"

"No, remember, she's at the chess club." Oliver informs me pushing the elevator button, "and we should actually wait to tell Mr. Davenport until we are for sure that they are in danger."

"Good idea." I nod. Calming elevator music played on the elevator. "Oh come on! Wrong music to be playing right now! Let's get some downtown up in here!" Oliver shakes his head disapprovingly.
