Chapter 4: let the training begin

I woke up at seven o'clock which is actually pretty early considering that I don't have school today. Hannah woke up thirty minutes after me. We slept on the couch because we do not have a bed or anything yet. Mr. Davenport said he'd get us one today and we will stay with Bree and Skylar. I wasn't exactly looking forward to sleeping in there after hearing Skylar's snoring...

"Morning." Kaz says walking in getting something to eat. I sat on the couch next to Hannah who yet again fell asleep.

"Morning." I reply running a hand through my hair which probably looked so awful. "Hannah keeps waking up then falling asleep again."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about her sleeping problem." Kaz says slightly grinning.

"Yeah, it's pretty bad if you haven't noticed-" I was cut off my Hannah moving in her sleep and "accidentally" hitting me in the leg. "What was that for?" She ignored me and groaned sitting up.

"Mr. Davenport wanted to see you when you woke up, it's time for the wonderful training." Kaz says sarcastically, taking a seat by the counter.

"I'm still tired though." Hannah complained standing up. Then Chase and Oliver walked in. Skylar and Bree were probably still changing.

"We have to go train. You guys can borrow some of Bree and Skylar's clothes." Chase explains.

I nodded and Hannah and I walked to the girls bedroom which was on the right. Hannah knocked on the door.

"It's Hannah and Amanda." I called out.

"Come in!" Bree's voice called back. Hannah and I walked into the room, it smelled like perfume. At least it's not too bad. It's actually pretty good.

"The boys said we had to borrow your clothes to train..." Hannah told them.

"Okay, after training we can go shopping for you guys!" Bree exclaimed happily. It actually sounded like an awesome idea! I love shopping!

"Sounds great!" I exclaimed.

"Sure." Hannah replies and smiles.

Bree and Skylar give us some clothes to train in, and we walk downstairs. Mr. Davenport stood at the steps waiting for us. The place where the fireplace was before had been split in half revealing a large capsule like space with blue lighting on the floor.

Hannah pointed at the wall, "I see you've decided to change things up a bit."

"It's always been that way-" he starts ranting on about what the thing is and how he created it but I just totally zoned out. "Let's go train."

Hannah and I follow him downstairs to start the long day of training. Okay, maybe not a whole day, but a long time.

**no ones POV**

Kaz and Chase stand around in the living room area sitting around silently. Both of them just looking at their phones. Kaz sets his phone down, "is Mr. Davenport training Hannah and Amanda?"

Chase shrugs, "probably. I wonder how hard it will be considering that they just lived normal life's in high school."

"I was living a normal life in high school, but I'm pretty good at fighting." Kaz defended then took a drink of water.

"You worked in a magical super hero hospital, is that normal?" Chase asked raising his eyebrows questioningly.

"They probably aren't too bad. Both of them look like their in pretty good shape. I heard Hannah mention that they both like running. That Amanda is pretty cute." Kaz explained to Chase who grinned.

"Ask her out." Chase suggested shrugging.

"Do you know how seriously awful my dating skills are?" Kaz asked sighing.

"Your going to regret not asking if you really like her. Besides, it only works out if your right for each other." Chase explained wisely, Kaz wondered how he'd had so much knowledge of dating when Bree said he hasn't even kissed a girl yet. Kaz just decided that he might be right; hence Chase's intelligence. Although Chase doesn't often date, he could be onto something. Kaz nodded at Chase's advise. "I might do it."

"I'll go with you and start up a conversation about how 'amazing' you are." Chase plans using air quotation marks when he said amazing.

"That will give it away so fast though." Kaz said nervously.

"Girls like to see a guys emotions sometimes, just don't act as dumb as usual..."

"Hey! I'm never dumb!" Kaz disagreed.

"Oops, I meant not exactly the brightest." Chase fixed it not necessarily making things better.

The two boys waited for the girl's training to be over.

**Amanda**

I threw a punch at a dummy, but instead of me punching it I basted lightning through my hands. Yes! New skill!

"Look what I can do!" I exclaimed to Mr. Davenport re doing my lightning blast. He gave me a high five, "Amanda found another power."

So far Hannah had discovered she has Camouflage and a force field thing that was super cool. I have figured out the Lightning thing and I can create a tornado thing that can destroy anything in its way. I accidentally ruined Mr. Davenports potted plant.

"Alright, that should be enough training for today." Mr. Davenport announced. I was tired but not that tired. Hannah and I do cross country, cheerleading and track, we're all good.

"Time to go shopping!" Bree exclaimed and Skylar walked in with her both of them looked excited. All of us went back to the living room where Oliver was reading a comic book and Chase and Kaz stood up talking together. Chase hit him on the arm and they walked over to us.

"So, Amanda, have you heard that Kaz used to work in a superhero hospital?" Chase asks me randomly. What's going on?

"Nope, sounds cool." I say and then turned to leave with the girls.

"Wait, um, look at what Kaz can do." Chase gestured to Kaz and I looked at Kaz Grinning. Oh boys...

"What do you want? Before you accidentally set this couch on fire or something." I say giggling.

"I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me this Saturday." Kaz asked slightly wincing because of his nervousness. It sounded like a good idea, Kaz seems like a nice guy.

"Sure." I smile at him. "Where and when? Not that I'll be busy..."

Kaz looks relived, "where do you want to go?"

"I don't care, we can just see while we're in town." I say shrugging. I'm really excited on the inside though. "Just wear casual clothes. I don't really want to go to a super fancy place."

"Sounds good." Kaz smiled and when he turned around I could see him to a victory stance.

Bree, Hannah, Skylar and I left to go shopping, Saturday is gonna be so much fun!
