They want answers, but I simply can’t speak
My head is lost in all of those meaningless ideas
I’m vulnerable, lost, I feel so weak
If I smile, would that make me feel better?
If I talk, would that make the pain in my chest subside?
It seems as if I’m going to be helpless forever
That feeling of hopelessness, something I always fail to hide
I wake up from a haunting nightmare
Only to be haunted by reality
You ask me about pain? I think from that, I’ve had my fair share
Pictures of the past torture me
They rip my heart apart
They turned me into something I never wanted to be
I always seem to see him, happily waving at the end of the street
I run to him, trying to catch his beautiful face
Trying to make our desperate hearts meet
But I seem to always loose the chase
I can’t seem to understand
Why did he have to go, anyway?
Now, all I long for is the sound of his voice, and the velvet touch of his hand.
