I laid on his chest, I knew I probably looked a complete mess but I didn't care. It was 4:30 and everyone else in the building was at class, its a good thing they weren't home otherwise they would have a lot of noise complaints. Jordan rubbed his hands across my bare back which tickled slightly, I smiled and he kissed the top of my head.
Neither of us had class for the rest of the day, so all was planned on doing was going to church then Jai and Jason's anniversary dinner thing. But those weren't for another three hours I could probably stay like this the entire time too. I sighed in content and Jordan chuckled I smiled at the sound and sighed again. I listened really close to his heart it had a steady rhythm I imagined that it kept in sync with mine, the thought made me happy. "So, we just gone sit here butt ass naked until we gotta go to church?" Jordan asked ruining the peaceful silence that had been established after our never ending session of sex.
"Well when you put it like that not really." I said defeated. "You just had to ruin the moment, didn't you?" I said rolling off of his body and onto the soft mattress, he just laughed at me. I wrapped the sheets around myself and walked to the closet to through on so clothes to wear around the house until we were ready to leave. I decided on one of Jordan's huge t-shirts and some fuzzy socks. "So, since you were set on not laying in bed butt ass naked for the rest of the day," I reiterated to him, I was still pretty upset about that. "What do you suggest we do?" I finished the phrase and I brushed my curly hair into a high puff ball thing.
Jordan just shrugged his shoulders at me. I rolled my eyes at him, I sighed and walked back into the bathroom to see how my hair looked. I was satisfied with a result so I walked into the living room to watch some TV, soon the bae joined me he was only wearing a pair of shorts I didn't complain though. BET had a bunch of Tyler Perry movies playing so we got comfortable and watched Madea. "God, I love Madea movies." I said laughing as she drove her car through the drive through building.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. I turned my head in the direction of the front door then looked down at my clothes, I was not answering it looking like this. I looked over at Jordan and he knew what I was about to ask, but before he could protest there was knocking on the door again. "Ugh, fine I'm coming." He groaned as he walked towards the door, I got up and followed behind him I was curious as to who was at our door everybody had class. Once we both reached the door I slightly hid my body behind him, he looked down at me and laughed. "If you were gonna come anyway, why did I have to get up?" I shrugged and continued looking at the door curiously.
Jordan shook his head at me and opened the door. "Hello Mrs. Fitzgerald." Jordan said in a monotone voice, I inwardly groaned. My mother was here, she showed up every now and then to make sure I planned on keeping my promise of not telling DD that we related until it's the right time. "Come in why don't you." His voice was still monotone so I knew he was doing it out of curtsy but I punched him anyway, then he remember what I was wearing. He mouthed sorry to me over his shoulder and I groaned out loud this time. My mother had a way of showing up at the worst times I swear, I mean I only had on an over sized shirt for Christ's sake. It left very little to the imagination to think of what went on here.
"Thank you Jordan." She said politely to him as he stepped aside to let her into our apartment. It was the biggest out of the complex, she said it was a gift. My mother did things like that for making me live with my Aunt Kristina while she lived in the lap of luxury with her new daughter. I ain't spiteful or anything, from what I heard DD's childhood was crap too. "I see you two have made yourselves at home since the last time I was here." She commented, because she hasn't been here in months so we have new things lying around the house.
"Mother, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit." I said sitting on Jordan's lap, I wasn't going to let her not make me comfortable in my own house. She seemed thrown off by my disposition, but I could honestly care less.
"Well, Danesa, darling I was just wondering if you two planned on being serious?" She looked at us head on her hands were shaking, I could tell this was dreadfully uncomfortable for her.
I went to answer but Jordan awkwardly coughed, I knew he was trying to stop me from saying something I regretted. I sucked in a breath and collected my thoughts before I responded. "Why do you ask mother?" I questioned through gritted teeth, Jordan rubbed my back trying to calm me down I suppose I took another deep breath as I awaited her answer.
"Well because Danesa, I am your mother whether you like it or not. So because of that fact I would like to know of your intentions with this relationship." Jordan had stopped rubbing my back because he knew after that, that nothing was going to get me calm for a while.
I took three deep breathes before I spoke. "Jordan, I think we should start getting ready for church. I'm going to see my mother out then I will be in the room ok." He didn't question me but instead stood up kissed my cheek and walked into our room closing the door behind him. Once he was out of sight I walked towards the door with my mother's heels clicking lightly behind me we walked out of the apartment into the hallway then out that door. "Mrs. Fitzgerald you will not be receiving an invitation to my wedding. I plan on having a happy life even though my mother was never apart of it." She reacted to my words as if I had smacked her. Tears gathered in my eyes as I continued to tell her off. "You can't just show up and expect me to love you and welcome you with open arms. It doesn't work like that mother, damn it you weren't there when I needed you, so no you are not welcome in my home or anywhere near me or Jordan." I had concluded and tears were streaming endlessly down my cheeks, brushed them off but they didn't stop.
"I am your mother Danesa, just deal with it. I did what I had to do, you can't still be mad at me for it sweetheart." She pleaded with me.
"I can't be mad at a stranger Mrs. Fitzgerald." I said turning around to walk back into our building. "Please do not come here again playing the 'mommy card' unless you're here to see DD." I said as I walked into the door. I looked over my shoulder to see DD standing there screaming at our mother, I didn't know what to do so I just watched through the window as they argued for about an hour. I decided I needed to get ready and that DD would talk to me when she was ready.
