***JAI'S P.O.V***

"Jai, Jai wake up baby." I registered the voice as Jason's as he lightly shook me awoke. He had classes before me this morning so he was probably just getting back.

"Good morning baby" I said sitting up in the bed. My eyes were still closed but I was awake.

"You gotta open up those beautiful eyes for me to know that you're awake babe." He said laughing and kissing me on the cheek. I smiled and sluggishly opened my eyes To see him holding something behind his back. I immediately went over the dates in my head, it's not my birthday, it ain't Christmas or valentines day, and our anniversary ain't until tomorrow I don't think. I looked over at the calendar next to our bed and saw that it was actually today and kicked myself.

"Hey baby, how was class?" I asked trying to ignore the present since his isn't gonna arrive until later today. Jason smacked his lips and rolled his eyes, he must've had that professor he hates today. "You wanna talk about it, you know I'm always here for you." I tried to calm him down.

"Nah, that nigga ain't even worth discussing babe." He said walking out the room, I took this time to hop off my bed and get dressed, I only had one class today so I decided to dress nice for tonight a little bit ahead of time. I was straightening my hair when I heard someone trying to buzz into the building, I checked the time and saw that it should be UPS with Jason's first present. I rushed out of our apartment and down the steps to the door to receive the package. It was some pair of Jordans he had been dying to have but they didn't make anymore, it literally took me like a month to find them. I signed the paperwork saying I received the package and ran back up the stairs hoping Jason didn't see me.

I stopped in my tracks when I saw him sitting on our bed smiling. I knew he knew that I was holding his present and it kinda made me sad, he ruined his own surprise. "How'd you know?" I complained with a huff as I sat down on the bed next to him.

"Confirmation text, I didn't know what it was but I knew it was for me." He said grinning from ear to ear, I wanted to make him stop smiling like he was Sherlock Holmes or some shit but I didn't know how to.

"But it's not for you, I got it for Karmen. Her birthday is in a few weeks and I wanted to get her present early." I lied as I got off the bed and walked toward the closet to put the box away and refused doing my hair. Jason made a weird noise that let me know he didn't believe me, but I didn't care it got rid of that stupid smirk he had o his face. He was watching me pretty hard then he abruptly stood up and walked over to the closet, my heart started racing not because I was scared but cause if he found that he was gonna clown me for lying to him. I hopped out of my chair and placed the straightener down walking over to where he stood with a quickness. As I reached the doorway of our overly sized closet he picked up the box, I didn't know what to do I was out of ideas so I kissed him. Long and hard until he dropped the box, I quickly picked it up and dashed out the room with him right behind me. I was gonna need to redo my hair but I didn't care at this point, I just couldn't let him know he was right.

"I know it's for you me you ain't even gotta lie, Jai." He said as he chased me around our apartment. "You might as well stop running so I can open it." Jason suggested as we continued running in circles.

"Never!!!" I screamed behind me  laughing hysterically. I don't know if you've ever tried it but laughing hard and running full speed is very hard to do at the same time so I quickly ran out of breath and had to stop running. As soon as I did Jason was on me like a hawk, he swooped me up into his arms and carried me all the way back to our room.

Jason through me not to roughly but not super soft either onto our bed and took off his shirt, he was breathing pretty hard form chasing me and it made his chiseled chest rise and fall. I found myself smirking up at him as he looked at me and his eyes twinkled with something that I knew as lust. "Since you made me run after yo ass over a damn present," He took a pause and snatched the box from me and threw it into the closet. "You deserve to be punished." He smirked and I gulped trying to hide thee excitement building in my stomach. "Text the girls saying you ain't coming to class." He tossed me my phone and did just that with a quickness and tossed it off to the side of my bed. I looked up at him and saw him smirking down at me, this smirk is different from the one earlier though, this smirk says 'you ain't gone be able to walk when I'm through with you.'

He walks over to the bed and I feel the excitement rushing all through my body, I'm so happy I ran even though I'm somewhat still trying to catch my breath. It was completely worth it, every second of my unplanned early morning workout. I and I know that all that running was just the warm up for what was about to happen next and that made a smile appear on my face, and Jason collided his lips with mine.
