What I Learned From Loss.

You left me. You packed your things and walked away. You did something you promised to me that you'd never do, yet I'm thanking you for it. I'm thanking you for breaking your word, because your absence forced me to find my own way. I no longer need you like I needed you before, I no longer require conversation with you in my daily routine, and I no longer come to you when I'm broken; your absence made me realize that I don't need anyone but myself. In the end I am all I'll ever always have, and I'm okay with that, because thanks to the way you ripped me apart, I came back together even more beautifully. I became more self aware, I became more accepting of being alone, I opened my eyes to things I've never seen before; thanks to you, I began to love myself, a little at a time, and although I know I'll never be the same, we'll never be the same when our atoms collide together once again, I thank you for leaving. For instead of pushing me off the edge, you brought me closer to the light.
