Chapter 4
KATANA'S POV:We were almost back to his car when I spoke.
"Thank you."
He looked over at me and squeezed my hand.
"No problem."
My heart jumped a little at his deep voice.
I looked away quickly and cleared my throat.
"I don't have to go to your house. I can just go home. It's only going to delay it. I have to face my parents." I sighed. "And I'd rather do it sooner than later."
We had reached the car and he let go of my hand to open the door for me. I got in and he didn't speak until he had started the car and was pulling out of the parking lot.
"It doesn't matter. Tonight, you can pretend that you're not moving. Tonight, you can pretend that you're normal. Tonight will be your night. We'll do whatever you want."
I sat silently for a moment trying to figure out exactly what he meant.
"Anything?" I asked.
"Sure."
"Well, can we stop at the store so I can get some stuff? 'Cause I'm sure not wearing your clothes to bed."
He grinned. "I'm sure you would look good in my clothes."
I blushed. "I'm only fifteen you phsyco! Don't get any ideas! Just because you're cute doesn't mean you get to think like that!"
"You think I'm cute?"
"What? NO!" I yelled. "I mean, I know I said that but-"
"Oh shush! I'm just messin' with ya."
I shoved him and the car swerved.
"Whoa! Are you trying to get us killed? You don't have to go that far to get out of moving!" He said.
"Oh, brother. I'm going to regret agreeing to this."

We got to the teen clothing store called TeenScene-which is an all teen store, no adults are ever there besides the employees-about fifteen minutes later.
I got out of the car and started walking towards the door when I heard a car door slam behind me.
I whirled around and held up a hand.
"Oh, no you don't! You're not coming in to go shopping with me! Just turn around and go back to the car."
He stopped. "Who's gonna make me?" he asked, echoing my earlier words, and I groaned.
"Don't get cocky, just wait in the car!"
"Fine." He went and got back in the car and turned on the radio.
I sighed in relief. There was no way I was going to let a boy go shopping with me.
I pushed the door open, glad the they were open later than any other clothing shop in town, and went inside.
I inhaled. It always had a different smell. Today, it was lemons and rosemary. Kind of a weird combination but they smelled pretty good together.
There was only one employee at the store at a time, and this time it was one of my mom's friends, Cassandra Gray.
"Hey, sweetheart. How ya doin'? Whatcha lookin' for tonight?"
Cassie was from the South, down in Georgia, so she always had a twang to the way she spoke.
"Hey, Cassie!" I said, giving her a hug. "I'm staying over at a friend's house, but it's a spur-of-the-moment thing so I need a couple things."
"Is that Mr. Kylar Camden's 'Stang that I see out there, Sugar? Or are my eye's playin' tricks on me?" She gave me a devilish grin. She was the only person who knew about my hopeless crush on him.
I rolled my eyes.
"Yes, but it's not what you think, Cassie. We were all at dinner, Mom told me we were moving, I ran out, and he came out and took me to the park for a walk."
"In those things?" She asked pointing at my feet where the dreaded heels were still bruising my heels and squishing my toes.
"Yeah."
She thought over what I said, and then she burst out:
"Did you say you were movin'? Your Momma didn't say a thing about that to me!"
"Unfortunately, it's true. Kylar's taking me to his house. I'm supposed to stay there tonight and pretend the dinner never happened. At least until tomorrow when I have to go home."
She placed one of her cool hands on my cheek.
"Sugar, ev'rythin's gonna be alright, ya hear me? Now go get your things and go back to that handsome boy."
"Thank you, Cassie. Talking to you always makes me feel better."
I left and got some clothes and a pair of black flats that wouldn't hurt my feet.
I payed for the items and went out to the car, putting the bag in my lap after I say down.
"Took you long enough." Kylar remarked.
"Hmm, I wonder why."
"Because you talk too much."
He leaned away to try and dodge my flying hand but I hit him on the arm anyway.
"Why don't we just play the Silent Game until we reach your house, hmm?" I said. "How would you like that?"
"Okay, start NOW!" He said.
I leaned my head against the window and watched the darkness 'till we got to the Camden mansion.
Let the fun begin. I thought to myself.

Sorry this was so boring but I think next time I'm gonna make some or all of the chapter in Kylar's pov so we can see how his mind works, at least a little.
Stay with me people!
