Chapter 6
KATANA'S POV:So many thoughts were rushing through my head as I changed into my pajamas in one of the guest bathrooms.
Why did he kiss me? Was he just seizing the moment? Was he serious? I didn't fully believe him that I was his fist kiss, based on the fact that he's dated so many other girls. I mean, I've seen him with at least five other girls at different times. I mean, not five girls at the same time, but at different times. Ugh, shut up you stupid brain!
I sighed and got a running start, sliding down the hall to the bedroom I would be borrowing.
If he asks me out tonight, I thought, I'll know he's serious. But if he doesn't, I'll just move on. Or rather, move away.
I stopped short in the doorway when I saw the boys piled on my bed with what looked like every single pillow and blanket in the house.
"What are you guys doing in here? And what's up with the mess? You know I don't like messes." I said.
"We're gonna build a fort and have a pillow fight. In here." Zach said.
I let out an unladylike snort. "How old are you guys anyway? And why does it have to be in my room?"
"Because your room doesn't have a bunch of stuff all over the floor that could be stepped on, plus your room doesn't have a whole bunch of breakable things on the shelves and walls."
"I don't think so. I'm not feeling up to it. Not tonight anyway."
They gave each other mischievous grins and I got a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach.
"Tickle!" They all yelled at the same time.
I turned around and fled down the hall, slipping slightly on the wood floors in my fuzzy socks.
"Get her!" I couldn't tell if that was Kylar or Stephen.
I flew down the stairs and almost crashed right into Mr. and Mrs. Camden, who were just about to come up.
"Sorry!" I shouted back at them as I continued to run. I went into one of the bathrooms and locked the door, collapsing on the fluffy rug.
The boys pounded on the door until their mom yelled at them to stop.
"Come on Tana!" Kylar pleaded. "It's just a pillow fight! What's the problem?"
"There is no problem. I'm just tired and I just don't see a point in throwing pillows at each other."
"Please come out? I promise not to tickle you." Zach said.
"Yeah, me neither." Stephen said.
I sighed and unlocked the door.
Kylar burst in and picked me up, bridal style, holding me tight as he walked up the stairs.
"What the heck are you doing? Put me down!" I yelled.
We had made it back to the bedroom and he dropped me on the bed unceremoniously.
Stephen and Zach were arguing downstairs.
"I never said I wouldn't tickle you." He said in a low voice.
I shrieked and tried to escape again but he tackled me and pinned me to the bed.
"Stop, stop, STOP! Please Kylar!" I was laughing so hard I wasn't making any sound and tears were starting to stream down my cheeks.
"What'll you give me if I do?" he asked.
"I don't KNOW! Just...STOP!" I begged. Miraculously, he did.
I just laid there, chest heaving up and down, trying to gain back my composure.
"I'm never kissing you again after that." I finally said.
"Aw, c'mon Tana! Don't be like that." he whined.
"Did you just say again?" someone at the door asked. Two some ones, in fact.
"Stephen, Zach, this doesn't concern you!" Kylar hissed, suddenly angry. I had never seen him angry before. He looked scary. His mouth was pulled tight in a scowl and his eyes flashed.
"What did you do to her?" Stephen demanded.
"Nothing." he said crossing his arms defiantly.
"Tana." Stephen turned to me, drawing out the second syllable of my name.
"Wh-what do you mean?" I asked.
"Did he try anything with you?"
"Like what?"
"Oh, come on, Tana! Don't play stupid. You know what I mean."
"He kissed me." I said in a small voice. "Why is that a bad thing?"
"Kylar! Why did you have to drag her into your life like that? You know you're just asking for trouble don't you? Do you want to hurt everyone you meet?" Stephen was getting really angry now.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Zach, take her to my room. I'll be there shortly." Stephen ordered, not taking his eyes off Kylar.
"Okay. Don't do anything you'll regret later." Zach took my hand and tugged me down the hall. I let him, too confused to process anything.
I sat down on Stephen's fluffy bed, taking in the room. I heard raised voices. Kylar and Stephen.
"Zach, what did he mean?"
"Stephen will explain when he's done."
"Zach, just tell me."
"No. He has to."
"Please, Zach?"
"No, Tana. I'm sorry."
Stephen finally came in after what seemed like an eternity.
He started with "I'm sorry, Tana." And I knew what he was going to say was not going to be good.

Yay! I finally got another chapter up. Let me know what you think! ;)
Was it a good cliffhanger or was it kind of lame?
