His eyes were this beautiful blue
She got lost in them
They were what calmed her racing heart
"He's gone, he didn't really come back and I told myself not to expect him to stay. I'm okay"
She thought she was okay with it but deep down
We all knew
He was the sun
And she was the moon
He fought her demons when she was too weak to do it her self
He spent every night making sure she was still there
Still safe
Even on the days where she would get mad at him
He would still check in
Knowing she was still in there somewhere
But one day he got tired and didn't check on her
She forgave him and he continued to check on her for a few days before he didn't check again
This time it was a few days before he came back
Then he went away for a week
Then a month
Then months
Until a year went by before he got back to her
'Do not let him in. Don't get attached' she told herself
But in those three letters she felt hope
"Hey"
Hope this would return to how they once were
She didn't need him
In fact she just had gotten over him and his disappearance
But in those three words she felt as if he would stay
"I miss you"
Lies
He wouldn't stay
Only until he recovered from his loss of a friend
He just needed someone to fill the void until he could find someone better for the role
But she just needed him..
