"Anna, where in hell are you taking me?" I chuckled as she refused to take the blindfold from my eyes, leading me through wherever we were walking.
I could hear people around me and tannoys in the distance but I wasn't paying much attention to them, just unsure of myself as we walked.
I also knew that we had just come of a long, boring flight which was mainly filled with me watching movies and occasionally messaging Michael.
"All you need to worry about is that I'm treating you for your birthday and we need to have fun." Anna's smile was clear in her voice as we stopped walking and she finally took the blindfold from my eyes.
I struggled to let my eyes adjust as I looked around, the sunlight hurting them.
"Over here Jones," a familiar deep voice boomed from in front of me and I looked over, my mouth gaping wide as I saw Michael standing there, his arms open wide.
"Hiiii!" I squealed as I ran to him, engulfing him in a hug and almost knocking the two of us over.
"I've missed you," Michael smiled down at me as I looked up at him, still not believing that he was here.
"I've missed you too," I smiled back, before turning to Anna who was making her way over to me.
"What's all this?!" I asked, unable to wipe the grin from my face as I side hugged Michael.
"Happy 17th birthday!" Anna and Michael cried at once and I smiled even wider, engulfing Michael in another suffocating hug.
"And this isn't a dream?" I asked into his chest, smiling as his chest vibrated with a laugh.
"No, it's all irl," He smiled and I grinned wider, eagerly following him as he led Anna and I out of the airport to his car, the hot air hitting us.
"Where even are we?" I asked Michael as we got into the car, Anna sitting opposite us.
"Florida," Michael said happily and I smiled, before letting a yawn escape my mouth and I rested my head on his shoulder.
"I'm tired but I don't want to go to sleep. Please don't let me go to sleep," I told him quietly as I felt my eyelids become heavy.
"Of course."
